Please display your blue badge. Mobiloos are designed to be used by anyone who can t or would struggle to use a standard accessible toilet. A Mobiloo units has: A toilet with grab rails each side An electronic hoist An adult sized changing bench Running water Soap, hand towels, wet wipes and disposable, latex free, hygienic gloves There are also disabled portable toilets available. All Terrain Wheelchairs (Limited availability). The wheelchairs make any type of uneven surface easier to traverse booking required ( info@kentevents.org.uk please title your ATW 2018). The wheelchairs are free of charge; however, a donation would be appreciated to help support the charity Beach Within Reach. Registered carers will need to prevent either their registration or a letter with their tickets at the ticket gate. Alcohol Animals Anti-Social Behaviour Baby Changing Can I bring alcohol into the event? Sorry no, alcohol is available inside the event from the bar. Can I bring my dog? The event abides by the Firework Code, only Service Dogs are permitted. We will not tolerate any form of rowdy or anti-social behaviour. Bonfire & Fireworks is a family event. Persons who disrupt others enjoyment may be asked to leave without a refund. Any person who assaults any member of staff or volunteers will be dealt with by the Police and we will support any legal action. We will also consider claiming against the individual(s) through the Civil Courts. Are there any baby changing facilities? Yes, the baby change facility is located near First Aid and Mobiloo.

2 Bonfire How safe is the bonfire? The bonfire is built using clean wood. It is built to ensure when burning, it collapses inwards. Prior and during burning, the bonfire is constantly managed by event staff and our independent fire service. Dependent on the weather conditions, we may in the interest of safety may ask the visitors to move to one side until the embers reduce. A large safety perimeter is always in place to ensure visitor safety and radiant heat issues are addressed. In the interest of safety, no items must be thrown on the bonfire. Is the bonfire hedgehog friendly? Yes, the bonfire is regularly checked for hedgehogs. Cash Points Children Chairs Costumes / Dressing Up Where is the nearest cash point? The nearest cash point is located in Birchington Town Centre. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Can I bring my own chair? Yes, you can. Can I dress up? If you wish to dress up as your favourite Marvel character you are more than welcome. Please be advised charitable collections are not permitted. You are not permitted to charge a member of the public to have their photo taken with your character costume. Drones Drop Off, Pick Up, Taxis Can I fly my drone? Sorry, no. In the interest of public safety drones are not permitted to be flown at the event or in the car parks. Illegally operated drones is punishable by fine (up to 5000). Is there a drop off /pick up / taxi point? Fire Service Why is the Fire Service at the event? Safety is paramount at the event, which is why the event organisers engage the services of an independent fully qualified fire service to help monitor fire safety. The fire service are authorised to dispose of personal fireworks / sparklers. Fireworks First Aid Food Can I bring my own fireworks? Sorry, no. In the interest of safety, personal fireworks / sparklers are not permitted. Are there any First Aiders on site? The event organisers engage the services of an independent fully qualified first aid contractor. Can I bring my own food?

3 Sorry, no. There are various food concessions available. Footwear Lost Children Marvel Characters What footwear is required? The event is held at Quex Country Park, therefore the ground conditions are dependent on the weather conditions at the time. Wellington boots are always advisable. What do I do if the children become separated? Please contact a staff member (wearing high visibility clothing). What Marvel Characters will be there? Captain America Black Widow Deadpool Hawkeye Iron Man Spiderman Thor Winter Solider Special guest appearance by Thanos Marvel Characters are on display within their own marquee. There is no additional fee to pay to see the Superhero s, however a donation towards the chosen charity Beach within Reach is very much appreciated. There are no single photos for the Superhero s - group photos only. Due to the high volume of visitors, we ask you keep your photos to the minimum, so everyone has the same opportunity. Parking Do I need to pay for parking? Parking is free. The car park you go into, depends on the direction from which you approach. Please follow the event road signs. How long will it take me to get out of the venue? We have a number of exit routes from various car parks. We will endeavour to get you out as quickly as possible. We ask for your patience and understanding. Tooting your horn, revving your engine and being abusive to staff will not get you out of the car park any quicker. Pay Pal Pick Up, Drop Off, Taxis Do I need a Pay Pal Account? You don t need a Pay Pal Account to purchase on-line tickets, you can check out as a guest, which is located at the end of the Pay Pal payment page. Is there a drop off /pick up / taxi point? Re - entry Can I re-enter the event? Yes, re-entry is by way of hand stamp, no hand stamp, no re-entry.

Tickets Can I purchase tickets on the night? Sorry no, this is a ticket only event. No tickets will be available to purchase on the gate on the night. Where can I purchase my tickets? Tickets be purchased over the phone by calling our ticket hotline on The ticket hotline is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. If no reply, please leave a message and we will respond as soon as we can. At busy times we may not be able to answer so please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Please note: You must have a valid credit / Debit card and there is a 1.00 charge towards postage. All Thanet based purchases will be delivered by Royal Mail. We do not charge for using your Credit or Debit Card. Why do I need a ticket for a child under 5? In the interest of safety, we must ensure the venue does not exceed it safety capacity, every person therefore requires a ticket. Do I need to print my on-line ticket? If you wish to print your on-line ticket, you may do so.

5 Can I present my on-line ticket on my phone? Yes, you can, please note, you will need to give your phone to the ticket gate staff for scanning. What is included in the ticket price? Two firework displays and bonfire. Fees apply to other attractions. If you are meeting friends at the venue and you have all the tickets it is very important that you know your meeting point, so you can all arrive at the ticket cabins as a group. Timings What are the event timings? Gates Open 2:00pm 1 st Display From 6:00pm (not set to music) Bonfire Lit From 6:30pm 2 nd Display From 7:15pm Event Closes 9:00pm Why do you sometimes delay the timings? There may be matters beyond our control that we are addressing which have an impact on the event schedule. We will delay for a maximum of 20 minutes only. Weather Will the fireworks still be lit if it s raining? Yes, rain won t stop play. The only time the fireworks won t be lit is if the firework provider deems it unsafe (usually strong winds). If safety dictates, the event will be postponed 24hours, please make sure you are able to attend, as no refunds will be issued, as per the Event Terms and Conditions. It is hoped for a dry clear evening. It is advisable to wear suitable warm clothing But we all know how unpredictable the weather can be, it is our aim to continue with the event during wet weather. If strong winds prevail, we would have to assess the situation on the grounds of safety. Should wet weather & high winds prevail in the lead up to the event, it may be postponed 24 hours, in the interest of public safety.
