The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team s first six MLS seasons. Over Porter s first four seasons, the Timbers have lost the second-fewest games (33) of any MLS team, and have compiled regular-season point totals of 57 (2013), 49 (2014) and 53 (2015). Additionally, since 2013, Portland s combined point total (194) ranks as the seventh-most in MLS, behind only the New York ed Bulls (206), FC Dallas (203), LA Galaxy (204), Seattle Sounders FC (198), Sporting Kansas City (196), and eal Salt Lake (193). Additionally, Portland s 39 shutouts ranks tied as second-most in the league, while their 17 road wins ranks tied as the fourth-most in MLS during that span. The 2013 MLS Coach of the Year, Porter coached in his 100th game as an MLS coach against eal Salt Lake on Oct. 14, 2015, posting a record of in those games, which tied San Jose Earthquakes head coach Dominic Kinnear for the fewest losses (25) in MLS history in a coach s first 100 career games. In addition, his.570 winning percentage during that span ranks fourth among active coaches through their first 100 games, behind the LA Galaxy s Bruce Arena ( ,.625), Seattle s Sigi Schmid ( ,.595) and Kinnear ( ,.575). Ending the 2015 campaign with a nine-game unbeaten run across all competitions, the Timbers lifted their first MLS Cup trophy with a 2-1 win over Columbus Crew SC on Dec. 6, Portland finished the regular season with an MLS-club-record 15 wins, while also tying for the league lead in shutouts (13). On the road, the Timbers finished the 2015 season tied for the most road wins (7) in the league. During his tenure, the Timbers have qualified for CONCACAF Champions League twice ( , ), finished in the top three in the Western Conference in two of his first three seasons and made their deepest run in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, reaching the semifinals in Porter was announced as the Timbers head coach on Aug. 29, 2012, and joined the club ahead of the 2013 MLS campaign. Porter received the Slats Gill Award for Sportsperson of the Year at the Oregon Sports Awards on March 9, 2014, becoming the fourth soccer-related figure to receive the award since it was founded in On Aug. 6, 2014, Porter helped guide the MLS All-Stars to a 2-1 win over German power Bayern Munich in the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game at Providence Park in Portland. During Porter s first season with Portland in 2013, the Timbers assembled one of the biggest turnaround seasons in MLS history, finishing the regular season atop the Western Conference table. In comparison to 2012 totals, the Timbers assembled a 23-point improvement in points and an MLS-record, 43-goal improvement in goal differential. Portland s five losses during the 2013 regular season tied for the fewest in MLS history in a 34-game season and the Timbers led the league with 15 shutouts. The Timbers recorded a 15-game, home unbeaten streak during the 2013 regular season, posting a league-best home record at Providence Park and an MLS single-season record 11 home shutouts. In 2014, the Timbers netted a team-record 61 goals while recording the best goal differential (plus-9) of any non-playoff team in MLS history. Prior to joining the Timbers, Porter, who holds a U.S. Soccer Federation A license and an NSCAA advanced national diploma, was one of the most successful coaches in NCAA history during his tenure as head coach at the University of Akron ( ). He compiled a career mark of and was named 2009 NSCAA National Coach of the Year. Porter led the Zips to back-to-back NCAA College Cup appearances (2009, 2010) and the school s first national title in any sport in Porter s coaching career also includes time as the head coach of the U.S. U-23 Men s National Team during 2012 CONCACAF Olympic qualifying and three years as an assistant coach on the U.S. U-18 National Team ( ). Porter was an assistant coach for six years ( ) at Indiana University, winning two national championships with the Hoosiers. As a player, Porter was the 27th overall pick by the San Jose Clash in the 1998 MLS College Draft. He spent time with San Jose and the Tampa Bay Mutiny before a knee injury ended his professional playing career in He also played for the U.S. National B Team from , winning a bronze medal at the 1997 World University Games. As a four-time All-Big Ten selection and three-year captain at Indiana, Porter led the Hoosiers to four conference titles and two College Cup appearances. Porter was the runner-up for the 1997 Hermann Trophy. Porter graduated from Indiana in 1998 with a degree in sports management. He and his wife, Andrea, have three children two sons, Colin (7) and Jake (5), and a daughter, Stella (4).

3 ALL-TIME SEIES NOTES Saturday s match between Portland and Colorado marks the 15th meeting in the all-time MLS series between the two teams. Portland enters the match unbeaten in its last five regular-season games (3-0-2) against Colorado and has lost just once against the Western Conference side in league play since March 30, Saturday s match marks the second of three meetings between the two clubs in the 2016 regular season, with both teams set to meet again on Oct. 16 at Providence Park. In their previous meeting on July 4, Portland and Colorado battled to a scoreless draw at Dick s Sporting Goods Park as the Timbers pushed their unbeaten streak to six games. 5 SCOUTING COLOADO Colorado heads into Saturday s match with one win in its last five league matches, most recently playing Vancouver Whitecaps FC to a 3-3 draw at BC Place on Sept. 24. At home, Colorado has produced a record in 14 games played, including a record in its last four home matches. Midfielder Shkelzen Gashi leads the team in goals (7), while ranking tied for the most assists (4). IONMAN With his next MLS appearance, Timbers midfielder Jack Jewsbury, who has appeared in 349 MLS games since entering the legaue in 2003, will become one of 10 players to appear in 350 league games in MLS history, joining Kyle Beckerman, Brad Davis, Steve alston, Brian Carroll, Jeff Cunningham, Davy Arnaud and Bobby Boswell. ISING STA Dating back to the start of the 2015 MLS campaign, Timbers defender Alvas Powell ranks third in MLS tackles and second in tackles won, compiling an 88.5 percent tackle success rate. UPCOMING MILESTONES Midfielder Diego Valeri, who joined the Timbers in 2013, is tied for the 11th-most assists among active players in MLS (42). Following his next assist, Valeri will break into the top 10 for assists among active players in MLS. Following his next finish, Darlington Nagbe, who has recorded 24 goals since joining the Timbers, will move into a tie for ninth place for goals scored in club history across all eras (since 1975). With his next two MLS goals, forward Fanendo Adi will move into a tie for the second-most goals scored in Timbers history across all eras of the club (since 1975). Adi currently has 40 league goals for Portland. With his next two assists, midfielder Darlington Nagbe, who has recorded 25 career assists with Portland, will move into the top five for assists in club history across all eras (since 1975). Following his next three apperances, defender Liam idgwell will notch 70 league appearances since joining the Timbers in With his next regular-season appearance, midfielder Ned Grabavoy will record his 300th league apperance, ranking 40th in MLS history. STIKE ATE Timbers forward Fanendo Adi recorded his 15th goal of the MLS season on Sept. 17, scoring the team s game-winning goal against the Philadelphia Union. With the finish, Adi became just the 16th player in MLS history to record consecutive seasons with 15 or more MLS goals. Additionally, Adi is one of five players in MLS history to record consecutive seasons with 15 or more goals before the age of 27, joining Taylor Twellman, Carlos uiz, Stern John and Jaime Moreno. SHOTS FIED As a team, the Timbers have produced the sixth-most shots, excluding blocks, in MLS this season, according to Opta. With 319 shots in 31 games played, the Timbers average 10.2 shots per game. Portland midfielder Diego Valeri (69) and forward Fanendo Adi (68) are both ranked in the top eight, respectively, with Valeri ranked sixth and Adi ranked seventh.
