WAYS TO HELP NEIGHBOR TO NEIGHBOR Sandy Farone (B) #574-5312 Jane Kenworthy (V) #574-5314 Jean Cary (C) #663-0181 If you are or know of someone in need, give us a call! Neighbor to Neighbor is a group of volunteers who help other Voyager residents in need. We match a person in need with someone who is able to meet that need. Interested in becoming a volunteer? Pick up an application in the Activity Office. Neighbor to Neighbor also keeps a list of resident care-givers, house-cleaners, dog-walkers, dog-sitters and rideproviders. These are longer term, paid individuals who want to help other Voyager residents. Call Jane Kenworthy at 574-5314 for more info. WE NEED YOU! If you have some spare time and want something to do please consider volunteering here at Voyager! The Kitchen Crew - If you are interested in joining this fun-loving team, stop by the Activity Office. Help set up tables and chairs for our many events - sign up on the Activity Board. Help sort and distribute mail - stop by the Mailroom and speak with Rhoda. Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in. Unknown COMMUNITY FOOD BANK Please help your Tucson neighbors who struggle with hunger. Drop off your donations of non-perishable food in non-glass containers in the Ballroom. Community Cares Are you living alone, ill, injured, or fragile and would appreciate a FREE daily check for health and safety? If the answer is yes, the Community Cares Program can meet that need. As a participant, you are given a set of cards illustrating days of the week. It will be your responsibility to display the correct day in your window before 10 each morning. Volunteers will check each day; if the display is correct, they will continue on their way. If not, you will receive a knock on your door, a phone call, or other instructions to confirm your health or safety is not in danger. Sign up as a Community Cares volunteer with Lynne Jensen #574-6179 or Judy Williamson #730-2917 If you know of someone in need of cheer, please contact one of the following, who will send a card: Bay Bouquet Sandy Farone #574-5312 Cove Cares Phyllis Drinkwine #664-0468 Voyager Sunshine Millie Paxton #574-6162 WEAR YOUR BADGE!
