1 House Minutes 2/7/16 I. Officer Reports a. Rob Pokora SGA President i. The gym might be back by April 1 st. ii. Still going to make baskets for Charity Basketball Game iii. Creek Plunge There will be biodegradable balloons for $.25 b. Al Thiel Advisor i. Everyone should complete the Noel-Levitz national student satisfaction survey that was ed out ii. CollegiateLink - feel free to use this for your Spring Club Elections II. Business a. Gym i. Gym will be ready for graduation, expected to be finished April 1 st b. Charity Basketball game i. March 31 st (the gym will not be open) ii. Still holding raffles and such 1. Paint on floorboards and raffle those? iii. Any ideas for other sports events to take its place? 1. Water balloon fight, Charity Dodgeball, GoPro Tag, Relay, Pie Eating Contest, Scavenger Hunt, Game Show, Hunger Games, Quidditch, Rocket Ball, Uno Tournament, Charity Ice Hockey Game, Sand Volleyball iv. Baskets 1. Baskets represent a theme of your club 2. You can cooperate with another club to create one basket 3. *Make sure someone is in the office when you drop off your baskets, make sure we know which clubs worked on which basket 4. No minimum or max budget for clubs it s entirely up to each club 5. Be Creative!
2 c. Creek Plunge i. Feb. 20 th 11am ii. $.25 per balloon iii. Register for $5 at student services or on day of iv. The bridge by maintenance will be used not the one between McKenna and Powers d. Spring into the Streets i. March ii. If 5 or more of your members participate, your club will receive a $100 incentive iii. Talk to Al if your club wishes to hold/sponsor a project 1. You can get money for the project as well as the incentive e. Budgets i. Due March 4 th (turn in by Spring Break and you re golden) ii. Extravaganza is April 3 rd iii. If you turn them in late it could affect your budget iv. Talk with EVERYONE in your club so everyone is up to speed v. Forms will be right outside the office f. Secretary Position filled by Stephanie Russick g. Vice Speaker Position still open! h. Join SGA!! III. Shenanigans a. Active Minds - Body Image Awareness, Feb th all around campus i. Charity Kickball game i. $10 to register, sign ups start Monday ii. 5 P.M., March 31 st at baseball field (otherwise front lawn of Chambers; if it rains there will still be a silent auction of the baskets) iii. Benefits Child s Play helps kids with long term stays in the hospital with games, comics, etc. so they don t miss out on anything c. Budget Forms i. A few clubs did not turn in their budgets before Spring Break, please see Al Thiel. ii. Be sure to attend the Budget Extravaganza d. Club Elections i. Please try to have elections before the end of April to get a jump start for the next year, Al is happy to help if you have any questions

Each golf hole is asking for a sponsor, if you sponsor a hole you don t have to work a booth iv. Most creative holes receive prizes! g. Blue and Gold Week i. Friday night of Blue and Gold Week will be a Night Color Run! ii. $20 for student registration h. Vice Speaker and Secretary position nominations are being taken until April 13 th, chosen by the 18 th i. Al or Kaitlyn with nominations (you can nominate yourself) i. Join SGA! III. Shenanigans a. Village Senate and GSA are hosting Ash Beckham in the Chapel on Thursday b. PES The week of April 11 th will be hosting a Before I Die Wall on Camber s lawn, a list of what you want to do before you die c. LPE Kittens on Campus in Smith i.
