Log in to your 4HOnline Family account to submit enrollment for each member of your family - participating Youth and Adults (*Adults only if a volunteer). Go to http://mi.4honline.com and select "I have a profile" and enter the email and password you created last year. If you ve forgotten your password, select I forgot my password and follow the instructions. Once at your family homepage, work through each member's page to complete/update personal information, authorizations and project information. PLEASE MAKE SURE CLUB AND PROJECT INFORMATION IS UP TO DATE! Pay special attention to your "Years in 4-H" and be sure to add each project a member is/has been involved in. There is no option to pay online. The participation annual fee for $20 per individual/ $60 per family will still be collected by club leaders. Reenrollment deadline is December 31, 2018. If needed, scholarships are available. Please contact the 4-H Office for details. Community Leaders: You must reenroll in order to have access to your club s information. Once approved by County staff, your access will be restored. Please remember that reenrolled members will remain as pending until payment is received in the 4-H Office. Your speech should center around one of the topics listed on the application or one you select. The Recognition Event is an opportunity for Ingham County 4-H to recognize our members for their accomplishments and our leaders for their outstanding contributions to youth development in Ingham County this past year. Mark your calendar and plan to join us on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds Community Building. The celebration will be open house style beginning at 6:00 pm. SCHOLARSHIPS Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibition Scholarship 5 Applications Due Oct 1, 2018 The Michigan Association of Fairs and Exhibitions is offering six (6), $1000 scholarships to youth who have participated in their local fairs at least the previous three years. Scholarships are open to applications that are high school seniors or currently enrolled in an institution of advance learning such as a college, university or trade school. MSU Pre-College Scholarship Due Oct 9, 2018 Michigan State University offers a scholarship opportunity for exceptional students who participate in an MSU Precollege program. 4-H offers four programs that qualify for this scholarship opportunity: Great Lakes and Natural Resources Camp,, Discovery Camp, Capitol Experience, and Exploration Days. Students selected receive a one-time $2,000 Pre-College Achievement Scholarship (PAS) upon admission to MSU as an undergraduate degree-seeking student. Those who qualify were mailed an application from the 4-H Office. Please be aware of the application deadline of Oct 9. We must receive them by 5:00 pm in the 4-H Office. National 4-H Council is gearing up for the fall TSC Paper Clover Promotion to be held October 3-14, 2018. Please encourage your friends and family to visit their local TSC store during this time and purchase a Paper Clover for $1. Proceeds from sales go toward national, state, and local 4-H programs where the store is located.
4-H Spirit Day October 9, 2018 The Tuesday during National 4-H Week is titled 4-H Spirit Day and you are encouraged to show your 4-H pride by wearing 4-H apparel and sharing your 4-H story. As 4-H youth, volunteers, staff or supporters, get out and inspire youth to be True Leaders through hands-on doing. From empowering them to pursue their passions to learning new skills, National 4-H Week and 4-H Spirit Day are excellent opportunities to make a difference for the next generation.
Ingham County Fair Results Thanks to all the 4-H members, volunteers and parents for a wonderful Fair week. Congratulations to these special award winners as reported to the 4-H office by the Superintendents: Troy Nealey Memorial Award Winners: Lance Corporal Troy D. Nealey, of the United States Marine Corps, age 24, a former Ingham County 4-H member, was killed in action on October 29, 2006, in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq. This award was established at his request to recognize Ingham County 4-H members participating with large livestock showmanship, specifically beef, swine and sheep. These are 4-H project areas that Troy participated in for 10 years as a 4-H member. Recognition: Cash awards are presented in beef, sheep and swine showmanship as follows: First place senior division: $500 First place intermediate division: $300 First place junior division: $200 Youth honorees are also recognized on a memorial plaque honoring Troy located in the main arena at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.
