Wildcat Cheer Invitational Saturday, November 4, 2017 Har-ber High School will host a cheerleading competition on Saturday, Nov 4, 2017 for Junior and Senior High School Cheerleading Squads. The competition will be held at 300 Jones Avenue, Springdale, AR. This is a great time to practice your competition routines in preparation for state. A tentative schedule will be emailed to each coach once all entry fees have been collected. Times will depend on the number of squads competing. CD s will be used for music. Please bring a back-up. Approximate time schedule for the entire competition is estimated at 9:00 am until?. The Cheer Competition will consist of the following categories: Squad Routines, Game Day Routines Stunt Routines, Jumps, Mascot Competition and Tumbling. The divisions will be divided according to classifications at the State Competition. A 1 and 2 place trophy will be st nd awarded in each division and an overall winner will be announced for Junior High and Senior High based on the highest score of the day. There will be Co-ed divisions for Senior High only. Stunts will have Co-ed and All-Girl divisions for both Junior and Senior High Schools. The Tumbling and Jump competitions will be on an individual basis and winners will be announced for Junior and Senior High. If there are less than 3 entries in a division, divisions could be combined. A list of divisions will be sent out to all schools prior to competition day. Admission will be $5.00 for adults; $4.00 for students. AAA cards will be honored. Entry for the squad routine competition will be $10.00 per team member with a $50.00 minimum. The entry fee for stunts routines will be $25.00 per group. The entry fee for tumbling competition and jump competition will be $5.00 per person. The entry fee for mascot is $15.00 All entry fees must be mailed with registration. Please make checks payable to Har- Ber Cheer. Entries must be postmarked by October 25 2017. There will be a $25 late fee for any entries postmarked after October 25. No refunds will be made unless the entire competition is cancelled. There will be three routine judges and one timer.
All participants must have signed medical/liability form at competition. All members of the squads must be current members of the official school spirit squad and must attend the school they are representing. 1 and 2 place trophies will be awarded in each category/division and an overall winner st nd announced. TIME LIMITATIONS: Cheer routines may not exceed 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The music must not exceed 1 minute and 30 seconds. Timing will begin with the first movement or when the music begins. Game Day 4 categories to include- Band Dance, Sideline Cheer, chant and Fight song. Will follow time limitations and scoring from state score sheet COMPETITION AREA The cheer competition area will be 9 standard cheer mats which are 42 x 52 feet. Signs or props may be used. JUDGING The judges will score using criteria on the skill point sheet and the state score sheet All decisions by the judges will be final. Score sheets may be reviewed for clarification only. PROCEDURES FOR QUESTIONING: Question concerning performance should be made immediately after the performance by coach of the team. Questions are to be directed to the Competition Director. SPORTSMANSHIP: All participants agree to conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship at all times during the competition. Each team coach will be held responsible for the conduct of their team and parents. Serious infractions of sportsmanship will result in disqualification, and/or removal from the gym.
