Charlene Himes Regional Executive Director Dear Residents and Families: Cate Houser Business Office Manager Elizabeth Ketteler Director of Resident Care The holiday season is upon us! As you look around the community you will notice that holiday decorations are sprouting up everywhere. And, before you know it, Spring Hills Middletown will look like a winter wonderland. Regardless of the holidays you choose to observe, December has something for everyone; from Hanukkah to Christmas to Kwanzaa. Laura Angulo Danita Turner Community Relations Counselor Emily Gardner Director of Recreational Services Bonnie Westall Director of Environmental Services Kimberly Beyersdoerfer Director of Dining Services Therapeutic Coloring Again this year, I plan to enjoy the Christmas season even more than in years past by taking things a little slower and just enjoying the Holiday Spirit. Perhaps all the anxiety and seasonal blues are less about what s going on around you and more about what s going on inside you. I have decided that I am going to enjoy every bite of those inevitable holiday pounds and be grateful for the food provided to me. And, if I have to stand in line at the check out, so be it. I ll use that time to send a text to a friend or loved one to whom I haven t spoken in a while. If I can t find a handy parking spot up close, I ll park in the back and enjoy the walk. If that so-called perfect gift doesn t come in the size or color I think it should, I ll simply find something else that will do. The ringing at the entrance of the department stores isn t going to annoy me. In fact, I m going to make an extra effort to remember those for whom the bells toll and, to offer an extra donation to help them out this season. After all, Christmas is not about the shopping but, about remembering those we love and those among us who are less fortunate. So, my plans this holiday season is to take care of my family, my friends, and my fellow man the true reason for the season. Bev Moore Shirley Shepard Kathleen KC Moore Resident Concierge May your holiday season be one of joy and may all your holiday wishes come true!
