2016 FRIDAY EVENING DRESSAGE SERIES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ June 3, 2016: Opens May 1st Closes May 27th July 15, 2016: Opens June 13th Closes July 8th August 12, 2016: Opens July 10th Closes August 5th FEES: All classes are $30.00. There is a grounds fee of $5.00 per horse. Post-Entry Fee is $10.00 per entry if postmarked AFTER the closing date. It is highly recommended that you advise NND either through email or phone call that your entry is on its way if it will be late. You will still incur a late fee. To be eligible for series-end awards, you must compete in two of the three shows. Series awards are offered by Nexus Natural Dressage and are not affiliated with OVCTA. If you are a current, dues paid member in good standing with OVCTA, your scores will be provided to OVCTA for consideration in year-end awards through them, and you will be eligible for awards through both NND and OVCTA. FACILITY INFORMATION: The warm up area is large, flat and grassy. Show arena is a full -size (20X60 meters) on all weather footing. Trailer Parking: You will be directed to the appropriate location to park your trailer upon arrival. Please look for the parking signs. NO DOGS! Sorry, but we must strictly enforce this policy. WATER: A hose or two will be available for you to water and/or wash your horses. COGGINS: You MUST have a negative Coggins with one year of the show date. NO EXCEPTIONS. HEALTH CERTIFICATE: Horses coming from out of state are required to produce a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) dated within thirty (30) days of the show date. Please note this is a state law for horses transported into Pennsylvania from out -of-state.
Rules and Regulations 2016 Friday Evening Dressage Series Helmets must be worn by all mounted competitors, including Western Dressage. Negative Coggins within one year of show date must accompany your entry. Liability Release form MUST be signed. ~ Classes to be placed 1st through 6th in each class. ~ You must compete in two of the three shows to be eligible for series end awards. ~ New to dressage? Not sure where to find your test? Contact us, we will direct you. ~ Western Dressage tests that are approved by the Western Dressage Association of America will be used. ~ You will have 45 seconds to enter the arena at the judge s whistle/bell. ~ NND Series-End Award winners will be notified within ten days of the completion of the third show. ~ Formal attire is not required! BUT...we do at a minimum require breeches, half-chaps and appropriate footwear. We require appropriate footwear for Western Dressage tests. Short-sleeved shirts are welcomed, BUT NO SLEEVELESS SHIRTS ALLOWED. All other USEF rules apply. ~ You will receive an email the Tuesday before the show date with your ride time(s). Ride times will also be posted on our website at that time. ~ The first test will be scheduled at 4:00 PM. If you have any special requests regarding ride times and scheduling, please let us know asap. We will do what we can to accommodate you. If the show fills, we will begin scheduling rides at 3:00 PM. ~ At the completion of your test, you may ride up the judge who will give you immediate feedback. ~ You may NOT take your test with you until the class has been placed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WESTERN DRESSAGE Please see the Western Dressage Association of American rules for questions regarding tack for the Western Dressage Tests. The rule book is available on our website. PLACINGS: Ribbons for each class (test) 1st through 6th place. HIGH SCORE AWARD: Special award for the High Score of each show. SERIES-END AWARDS: Series End Awards will be given out by the Division and will be based on the highest average of the horse and rider combination based on the top three scores ridden within the division. For example, the USDF Intro Division will be determined based on the highest average of the top three scores regardless of the test ridden (A, B, or C). Please note, if you choose to ride the same test twice in the same show, the second score will be considered HC, meaning you will not be placed based on your second sore and your second score does not count towards a series end award.

All checks are to be made payable to Nexus Natural Dressage LLC. Full refunds will be given before the closing date. After that, we cannot give refunds due to the expenses incurred. We have to pay for the judge, insurance, facilities, ribbons, and other miscellaneous items required to hold a quality show.
