Music Lessons We have a few spaces left for individual music lessons. We are very lucky to have talented, specialist teachers offering lessons on piano, drum kit, electric or acoustic guitar, ukulele and violin. If there is enough interest, we have a teacher who can offer singing and trumpet lessons, and another teacher offering saxophone and clarinet lessons. Learning an instrument can foster new skills, including mathematical ability, reading and comprehension, memory, organisation, team work, perseverance, coordination, self-expression and listening skills. It also gives children a sense of achievement, increases concentration and most importantly, it s fun! If you are interested, please let the school office know. Your child could start straight after half term. Here is a link that provides further information: http://www.effectivemusicteaching.com/articles/directors/18-benefits-of-playing-a-musicalinstrument/ Table Tennis Year 4 children had a fabulous time at Plume School, taking part in the Table Tennis festival. They learned new skills, aimed to improve hand-eye co-ordination and accuracy. They had relay races, target shooting, knocking the cups over game and scoring points by getting the ball inside an up-turned cone. Brilliant! There were so many activities and games. Aayush. It was educational and lots of fun. Keelan. We made new friends with other schools. Lucia. It was fun and interesting. Daisy
