The Jefferson Shooter Official publication of The Jefferson State Shooting Association Inc. October 2017 YOUR LOCAL SHOOTING SPORTS ASSOCIATION December 2-3, 2017 GUN SHOW COMING ACTIVITIES 10/7/17 SPORTING CLAYS 10/12/17 JSSA YOUTH ARCHERY All you need for happiness is a good gun, a good horse, and a good wife. -Daniel Boone Seldom have we ever thanked those that have put on our matches and run club programs that provide us with opportunities to train and practice our shooting sports and develop proficiency with our hunting or defensive firearms or just have fun on the range. We should thank our club match and program directors for all the extra effort they provide in designing stages, setting up, operating and tearing down the numerous activities that we enjoy during the year. Our hats are off to Charlie Halvorsen, Brent and Shari Glidden, Larry Watson, Katie Feinauer, Dave Castor, Jon McKellar, Bill Watson, Eric Bishop, Bryan Vanderpol, Bob Vanderpol, Josh Wesley, Jason Klein and Jake Nelson. On occasion they have had a substitute and Jeff Klein, Dan Gettling, Scott Anderson and Tim McDermott have filled in to run a match and they too deserve recognition for a job well done. We should not forget the efforts of those past for their contributions to our programs: Steve Hall, Roger Schmidt and Len Doddridge, Lynn Hodge, Marcus and Kathy Pruss and John Bianchi. We should also remember those that have passed: Phil Hodge, Preston Shaw, and Tule Spud. There are also a bunch who always show up early and stay late to set up and tear down stages and police the clays course to name a few: John Schreiner, Jim Ferris, Lew Stork, Jack Watters, Phil Doddridge, the Stork girls, Dan Gray, Buck Dugger, Chad Feinauer, Brent and Norma Haskins, Michael Roach, Heather Osgood, and the other JSSA Youth Club parents,. There are probably many more that need recognition but cannot be brought to mind never the less they deserve thanks and hope you stick around for awhile. THANK YOU! Jim Monroe JSSA P.O.
