Facebook Website TABLE OF CONTENTS Finals Series at Woy Woy Oval Long Lunch - 31 August with Paul Martell - support the Farmers with Lisa McGuigan Wines Congratulations Tane Knebel on 100 Club games Terrigal Rugby Club is the only club that will be represented in every grade in the Semi Finals. Our First Grade team and Womens team have made the Major Semi Finals and get a well deserved break this weekend. Our Colts, Third Grade and Second Grade have all finished in third place on the competition ladder and will play the Minor Semi Final this weekend. 10.00 am Under 19 s Terrigal vs Warnervale 11.50 am President s Cup Terrigal vs The Entrance Happy Birthday, David Noble Happy Birthday, Niels Bowen 1.20 pm Premier 2 Terrigal vs Ourimbah All three teams have shown they are a very strong chance to proceed through to the Grand Final this year. Our Colts have beaten every team and have matured as a rugby side. Brad Cornish will have the boys ready to play. Good luck this weekend, Colts! Third Grade have been the entertainers of the competition. With lots of experience in the Trojans,

Trojans support drought relief Last weekend against Woy Woy the boys have shown they can throw the ball around and score regular tries. The Rams have always been a difficult side for the boys with The Rams winning by a very bare margin of 8-7 in their last encounter. This will be another close match where I am sure you will see our mighty Thirds produce great rugby this weekend and continue on in the Finals Series. Boat race Womens Rugby Senior Presentation Friday 21 September Junior Presentation Dates Our Trojan Second Grade are defending their title from last year. The Trojans won an extremely tight match with Ourimbah 13-10 last time around so this will also be a great game of rugby. They have been an extremely tight knit group playing solid football all year. Our Club has been ravaged by injury but our Seconds have always put on a solid display of rugby and deserve their position in the Semi Finals Series. Nads has the team ready and will put on a strong performance this weekend. Good luck boys have a great match. In fact, Terrigal Rugby Club are extremely lucky they have so many good people within our Trojan Club and supporters. Let s go out and get behind our teams and cheer them to victory so they keep heading forward in the 2018 Finals Series. Congratulations to Tane Knebel on achieving 100 Club Games for the Trojans this weekend. Tane is also our third Grade Coach and one of our great Trojans. Best wishes, Tane, on reaching such a fantastic milestone! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID NOBLE

Inaugural President,Trojan Life Member and Legend, David Noble, celebrated his 77th birthday at the Club last Sunday. Old Trojans united with John Stevens, Col Pink, Bill Pearce, Larry Pearce and Peter White all there for David's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NIELS BOWEN!!

Best wishes to our Third Grade Sponsor, Niels Bowen, on your 70th birthday this week. Niels proudly supports our Third Grade team and is always encouraging and helping our Junior Trojans. TROJANS DROUGHT RELIEF Well done to the parents, coaches and supporters of our U12's, who organised a collection of groceries for our struggling farming communities... a superb Trojan initiative!

LAST WEEKEND AGAINST WOY WOY Last weekend Terrigal showed strong performances across the board. Our Womens and Colts had good games, however, were beaten by their higher positioned opponents on the day. Our Colts have consistently shown this year, they can beat any side and after their narrow loss must go into the Finals Series with a lot of confidence to go all the way. Our First, Second and Third Grade sides all produced high quality wins which will take Second and Third Grade into the Semi Finals this weekend with a strong belief in their ability to win. First Grade put on a typical gutsy performance in a must win situation which moved them to clear second place and a spot in the Major Semi Final on 8 September. There were the usual great performances by the entire side, however, Marc Koteckzy, Mike Ozdilli and Alex Brewin were given the points on the day. An absolute highlight was to

see the return of Ethan McInnes from injury, who showed what a massive boost he will be to our First Grade side during the Finals Series. There was a down side in that our fullback Frankie Webber has broken his hand in the last few minutes which will put him out for the rest of the year. This loss is a great pity for Frankie and the team as he has delivered so much for the Trojans this year. On another note, I would like to thank the Colts team for displaying maturity beyond their years last week after an incident occurred at the end of the Colts game. The team stood off and proudly represented themselves and the Trojans by not entering into a fracas when requested by their coaches. Well done boys! First Grade win

Third Grade win Ji Cornish in Second Grade Our Colts team

Mackenzie, head to head in Second Grade BOAT RACE Last weekend in the Boat Race, Datey pulled in celebrity reserves Chester Scott and Michael Farrelly to support his quest for a victory against the Woy Woy team. Champion referee, Muz, started the boat race with Datey quickly working to get down his beer. While valiant efforts were produced by Chester and Faz they were pipped at the post by a very determined Woy Woy Boat Racing team. Well done Woy Woy and Terrigal, good rugby!

Boat race team - Chester, Faz & Datey WOMEN S RUGBY Terrigal Womens and Youth Girls 7s teams will not be playing this week. Congratulations to our Senior Womens team who finished the season in Second Place. They will play in the Major Semi Final against Woy Woy at Woy Woy Oval on Saturday 1 September 11:25 am kick off. Don t be late, it s a 14 min match. Our Youth Under 15s and Under 17s Girls 7s teams have a few weeks off from competition until CCJRU Grand Final Day on Saturday 8 September at Central Coast Stadium. Great rugby girls!

Left to right - Shenay Ball, Eden Leary and Emily Lufe dominate Woy Woy scrum with Sophie Dryden applying pressure to opposition scrum half. SENIOR PRESENTATION Our Senior Presentation End of Season Ball is on Friday 21 September at Breakers Country Club at 6pm.

JUNIOR PRESENTATION DATES

GREAT TROJAN VALUES During the Under 11 s game last weekend the referee had a nasty fall when one of our boys made a break to score. Quite a few boys in the team stopped play and stayed with the referee making sure he was ok, helping him to get up and steadying him until first aid arrived on the field. That action showed a lot of class... well done little Trojans.

Also well done to Adam and Matt who have coached the boys to show sportsmanship above all else. They have done an amazing job with the boys - proud to be a Trojan. WIN A BBQ - PARSONS OUTDOOR Craig Parsons is a great guy and thanks to his generous sponsorship at Parsons Outdoor Lifestyle Centre, we are selling squares to win a Weber BBQ. Every game day squares are for sale at the canteen for $10. What a great prize to win going into summer! You need to buy a ticket to win, which will be drawn on our Presentation night!
