Installed Know The Difference and Eurasian Milfoil signs at Vilas and Oneida County Lakes. Purchased and distributed 50,000 Know The Difference license holders. Members trained in boater safety offered classes throughout Vilas and Oneida Counties. Support Kids Fishing days with money and personnel. Donated to the Ben Bendricks Scholarship Fund. Purchased 10 handicap piers for various lakes. Assisted financially with improvements of boat landings throughout Vilas and Oneida Counties. Financial support to Three Lakes Fish & Wildlife Improvement Assoc. Financial support to Trophy Lake Research Project by the DNR Financial support for stocking bluegills in the Eagle River Chain. Donated half the cost of publishing Muskies, Inc. History Book. Stocking of over $50,000 worth of muskies in area lakes Contributed financially to new park and dock on Yellow birch Lake. Hosted state and international functions. Host of the Spring Classic Muskie Tournament on the Eagle River Chain and the Fall Classic Muskie Tournament in Three Lakes. Sponsor the $1,000 Headwaters Chapter of Muskies Inc. Memorial Scholarship at the Natural Resources School at UW Stevens Point, WI. The Headwaters Chapter has spent over $1 million in the last several years on the above projects!! The Headwaters Chapter was the recipient of the Wis. Conservation Congress Sports Organization of the Year Award for 2013. December 5th, 7:00 pm Directors Meeting Gordo s Bar and Grill Hwy. 45 N. Eagle River The Enduro October 27 th under perfect weather, had 32 members fishing. Outings Chairmen Dan Puldo did a great job setting up Eagle Waters as our host while rehabbing from shoulder surgery. Andy & Summer Hendrickson did a great job organizing and running the event. This year we had 51 attendees with 32 of them taking to the lakes to fish. The big fish pot winner was Sue Gerds with a beautiful 44. Next years Enduro will be on Saturday October 26, 2019. Please vote for one or all the directors up for re-election. If interest in becoming a director add your name to the list. We welcome all members who are willing to help run our chapter, December s meeting is election of officers. Meetings are open to all members; and are the first Wednesday of each month starting at 7pm at Gordo s bar & Grill Hwy. 45 North. Our Christmas Party is January 5 th at Catch 22. Bring a friend or friends, all are welcome to attend. Many wonderful raffles and giveaways. I need an exact count so please get your completed form to me ASAP. Minutes from November 7th Directors Meeting Meeting was called to order by President Bill Jacobs at 7:00 pm Opened with the Pledge of Allegiance Minutes: Motion to Approve the Minutes by Jim Heffner 2 nd Jeff Miller Motion Carried Treasurer s Report: Glenn Matula had President Bill Jacobs present the Treasurer s Report Income $2,000.00 Expenses $11,249.86 Balance $51,481.19 Motion to approve Jeff Miller 2 nd Louie Dreger Motion Carried 2018 Enduro Report: We had the best year with less people. RVP Report: Elmer Jensen reported they had Region 2 Go to Meeting. They had enough people online to have a quorum. They discussed the calendar fund raiser. This is the only fund raiser Muskies Inc. has for the year. When you receive your calendar please get the money in for it. Calendars will be out before December 1 st. They will be mailing everyone a calendar this year. Elections were held. Region 2 Rep will be Jeff Miller 2020, Tyler Kennedy 2021. Membership: Jim Chamberlin reported we have 310 paid members. We had 3 drops. Since January we are down 27 members. Fish Report: Dale Peterson will have report in the newsletter. Newsletter Report: Newsletter is ready to go. Christmas Party will be held at Catch 22 on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Correspondence: Joe Koschnik received information from Pine Beach Lodge at Eagle Lake, Canada. They are putting together a cookbook and wanted to know if we wanted to put an ad in it. The cost would be $45. Headwaters will place an ad in the cookbook for $45. Motion by Bob Jacobs 2 nd Fred Brogle Motion Carried Youth Report: Dale Peterson will be holding his rod building class around March 23. He has four students already, needs two more. They need to be over 12 years old. Scholarship Report: No Report Docks/Landings: The asphalt is done at Eagle Landing. Looks great! Road to the Mud Creek landing is a back and forth between Forestry and County as to who needs to take care of it. 3 Even with the dues increase, they have not seen a decline in membership. Clubs who have over $50,000 a year will need to pay taxes. Right now, possibly looking at $625 for taxes. Kleeba Challenge will be hosted by Headwaters in 2019. The Fisheries and Research has funds available for projects. Jim Ashton will run for President again. Election will be in November. People have been complaining about how long it takes to get their number when joining. Please be sure to have all the information completed on the application as well as written legibly. Region 2 and State Chapters will have their elections later. This meeting will probably take place at the Wausau Sport Show. Alliance Report: Jim Heffner shared the 2018 Musky Stocking and the 2019 Musky Quotas. Jordan Weeks is now in charge of the musky management team. White Sand Lake, Rainbow Flowage, Lake Tomahawk, Lac Vieux Desert, and the Cisco Chain will be on the Spring Hearings regarding 50 size limit. Musky Clubs Alliance needs a 3-person team for the World Musky Hunt. The cost is $400 for each person. Alliance needs to know by the April meeting. Musky license plates are now available. You can get your plates 3 months in advance of your license plate renewal. This would be a selfsustaining scholarship fund for men and women who go to UWSP to receive their degrees in fisheries programs. Headwaters will donate $1,000 for the Scholarship Endowment. Fish Report 4 617 fish registered as of Nov.13th with the biggest being 52 caught by Jeff Miller during the club outing on Lake of the Woods. Lunker of the Month for May is JJ Albee for the Juniors with a 37.5 fish. Lunker of the Month for June are: Mens Masters; Gary Myshak 51, Mens; Brian Karau and Tim McMahon 50 ; Womens Masters; Pattie Miller 49.5, Womens; Cindy Karau 41, and Juniors Zach LaMoore with a 44 fish. July winners are: Mens Masters; Jeff Miller 50 ; Mens; Brian Karau 48.5 ; Womens Masters; Summer Hendrickson 42.25 ; Womens; Lisa Darton 44, and Juniors; JJ Albee 45. REMEMBER TO REGISTER ALL YOUR FISH 30 OR OVER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A ROD AND REEL AT THE END OF THE YEAR. You have 30 days to register fish after the catch. Photos are required for Lunker of the Month and Big Fish of the Year Awards. Photos have to be to me by the end of Jan., 2019. If you send me photos, try to put them in a JPEG file as some of the files off your phones, I can not open. Like Outlook Android and also PDF files can not be modified if I want to crop or change the exposure. ENDURO OCT. 27TH The 2018 ENDURO was held Oct. 27th with the get together held at the Eagle Waters Resort. 51 people attended. 10 fish were caught with the biggest being 44 caught by Sue Gerds. A great meal of Chicken, beef, and all was trimming was enjoyed by all. Prizes for fish caught and raffles were held. Yours truly, Musky Pete, got the 2nd biggest fish at 42 caught on a sucker on Found. Musky Pete with his 42 fish caught on a sucker on Found lake. Caught on the Harley Davidson rod I build for my fishing buddy Gary Winters who passed away in 2015. His son passed his musky fishing equipment to me. Sue Gerds with her 44 musky and Darren Gerds with his 36 Musky from the ENDURO outing. Sue won the Big Fish pot with her 44 fish.

NorthWaters Chapter Challunge The 5th annual NorthWaters Chapter Challunge was held Sat. Sept. 22nd on any lakes. 24 members from the Headwaters and Northwoods chapters fished. A total of 10 fish were caught with Jay Hollnagel from the Headwaters chapter catching the biggest fish 48. Headwaters Team #2 won the event with 4 fish. Headwaters Team #1: Dale Peterson, Jim Edwards, Joe and Rick Koschnik, Greg Vosz and Mike Campbell. Team #2; Bill Jacobs, Andy Hendrickson, and Dan Pudlo. Team #3; Fred Brogle, Gary Jensen, Bob Jacobs, and Jay Hollnagel. Northwoods team #1; Jim Cheshire, Mirrel Kephart, Tim Sanderson, Dan Bierter, Larry and Gloria Porter. Team #2; Pete Stoltman, John Michniak, John Bennet, and Mike Sasse. After fishing we had pizza, salad, cake, and coffee at the Sayner Pub and had our awards and raffle. The Northwoods chapter will host the event next year.
