May 16, 2018 Club President Kevin Schneider called the meeting to order at the American Legion. There were twentyeight members present including new members Gene & Mary Hoffmann. Welcome to the Club! GOVERNOR S REPORT If anyone would like to convert their magnet nametag to a pin, Doug has the pins available for this. TREASURER REPORT Ann Schneider reported on the finances of the Club and they were approved. NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM Two new C7 colors are being introduced; Elkhart Lake Blue and Shadow Gray. Elkhart Lake replaces Admiral Blue while Shadow replaces Watkins Glen Gray. Watkins Glen Gray, as of April 3, 2018, was the third most popular color for 2019 Corvettes with 15%. Admiral Blue was the 7th with 5 % of the 7070 produced. Timing for the color swaps is as follows: GJ1 Shadow Gray (replacing G7Q Watkins Glen Gray) May 17: G7Q Watkins Glen Gray Last Day to Order June 18: Last Day of Production June 28: GJ1 Shadow Gray Available to Order August 6: First Day of Production There are no more allocations of Watkins Glen Gray for ZR1 GS7 Elkhart Lake Blue (replacing GTR Admiral Blue) June 28: GTR Admiral Blue Last Day to Order August 13: Last Day of Production August 30: GS7 Elkhart Lake Blue Available to Order October 1: First Day of Production A History of Chevrolet racing exhibit opened on June 11 th and will run through January of 2019. Highlights of the exhibit include a 1909 Buick Model 16 Indy Racecar, 1910 Buick Bug, 1915 Cornelian, 1957 Chevrolet Black Widow NASCAR, 1983 Monte Carlo SS Pepsi Challenger NASCAR, 1989 ZR1 24-Hour World Record Corvette, 1997 Chevrolet C5.R Homologation car, 1997 Monte Carlo chrome-wrapped NASCAR, C6.R GT1 Test Car and 2010 Chevrolet Cruze WTCC Race Car. The 6th National Corvette Caravan is slated for August 28-31, 2019 and will mark the Museum s 25th Anniversary. Leading the charge will be Jeffrey Duda of Hainesport, NJ, a Lifetime Member of the Museum and previous co-captain of the New Jersey 2014 and 2009 Caravans. STEERING COMMITTEE, OFFICERS AND SUNSHINE COMMITTEE REPORT The Sunshine Committee If you are aware of a Club member that may have an upcoming surgery, is under the weather, or just in need of some sunshine, please contact Karen O Malley so she can reach out to them on behalf of the Club. Please notify Club president Kevin Schneider if you are interested in volunteering for 2019.

OLD AND NEW FOND DE VETTES NEWS OLD BUSINESS: Get Your Car Out Saturday April 28 th. Hosted by Greg Teichmiller. It was a chilly, but nice, sunny day for a drive. Greg led us to the King Veterans home for a visit and for Club members to have an opportunity to donate food items for their pantry. From there we made a lunch stop at the Red Fox on Little Silver lake. We completed the day at Vines & Rushes Winery in Ripon where Club members were able to sample and sip from their diverse selections of wines. There were 21 cars that made the trip. Thank you, Greg, for coordinating and hosting this great Get Your Car Out day!! NEW BUSINESS: Rick & Kristin Kolstad are hosting a Dock Spiders game on Tuesday July 10 th. The game starts at 6:30 and the Club will meet in the Ledgeview Lanes parking lot at 5:30 for some tail gating fun. Tuesdays at the ball park there are Johnsonville brats and 12 oz. craft brews available for $2 a piece!! There will be a Wounded Warriors softball game at the Dock Spiders stadium (Herr-Baker Field) on Saturday August 11 th. The first game is a seven-inning game between WWAST/USA Patriots Softball and the Fond du Lac Fire Department. It will start at Noon. After the completion of the first game, there will be a Home Run Derby. The second game of the doubleheader will start at 3:00 PM and will be a seven-inning game that pits WWAST/USA Patriots Softball against the Fond du Lac Police Department. Following this game, Mozart s Cadillac will be playing in the Dockyard, along the 3 rd base line. Admission is free for the event and gates will open at 11:00AM. Food and Beverage will be available for purchase and no carry-ins will be allowed. Stay tuned for more information regarding possibly getting together for this event as a Club. Tim & Laurie Krawczyk will be hosting a Trip to the Woods / Pig Roast on Saturday September 8 th. This is a free event for Club members and their families. More details will be made available as we get closer to the date. Sign-up sheet was at the meeting and will be available at upcoming meetings as well. ***June meeting will be at Tim & Laurie Krawczyk s home at 6:30 Wednesday June 20 th. Please bring chairs and a dish to pass.
