TOA has been very busy this last month with a great dryland cruise to Rest-A- Way RV park, thank you Randy and Athena. Sherri and I are thinking about getting another RV so we can spend the weekends on future dryland cruises. Our Jr. Past Commodore Dave Hoover and his committee, First mate Donna, Paul & Shar Di Vona, Dave & Berta Dolhar, Todd & Leslie Marker and Sam & Audrey Passarino really out did themselves with decorating the Day Island Yacht Club for the Commodores Ball. We had great attendance by members and non-members alike. The Michael Crain band played great music all night and of course Scottie set a wonderful table of food. I am honored to be Your TOA Commodore this year, and humbled to have had such a successful Ball in my honor. Thank you Please see the flyers for all of the upcoming events. There are also registration forms for Fox Island Commodores ball, and the South Sound opening at Des Moines Yacht Club. See you at the meetings and events! Rear Commodore s Report: Dave Dolhar Awaiting Picture Hello TOA, Well I think the weather is starting turn for the best. Daffodil is right around the corner April 13 thru 15, and we have started making plans on how to demonstrate this year s theme Traditions in Bloom, with our theme boat. Calling all music and nautical wizards!!! We are requesting your help and are seeking a new volunteer to be this year s token, along with 5 other assistants to assist with the trivia game. TOA has always been well represented at this event and I know we have some ringers in the club, that could put us up for first place. We will be decorating the boat on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Also we will be decorating the flagship at that time too. Besides setting up the props we have 2,000 flowers to install so as you can imagine your helping hands will be needed. Ahh thanks again to Dave & Donna Hoover for volunteering their boat for our float boat and, Paul & Shar Di Vona for volunteering to be our flagship. After Saturday lunch time the festivities continue with all the daffodil participants marching into the TYC Dome of Mariners! If you want to have a great experience please come down to Tacoma Yacht Club and cheer on TOA All The Way. PS. Don t forget about the Dining, Dancing and lots of Enjoyment both Friday and Saturday nights. Why not rub elbows with your fellow boaters throughout the evening and swap a good boating story or two. Several of us will have our RV s in the parking lot supporting our boat crews stop by to say hi.
