April 18, 2018 Club President Kevin Schneider called the April pizza meeting to order at the American Legion. There were twenty-seven members present including new member Arnie Roloff. Arnie bought Ken & Charlene Shepper s Green 1996 Coupe. Welcome to the Club Arnie! Thank you to Doug & Karen Jarvis for coordinating the pizza for the meeting. We appreciate your efforts and the pizza was delish!! GOVERNOR S REPORT If anyone would like to convert their magnet nametag to a pin, Doug has the pins available for this. TREASURER REPORT In Ann s absence, Kevin Schneider reported on the finances of the Club and they were approved. NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM The 6th National Corvette Caravan is slated for August 28-31, 2019 and will mark the Museum s 25th Anniversary. Leading the charge will be Jeffrey Duda of Hainesport, NJ, a Lifetime Member of the Museum and previous co-captain of the New Jersey 2014 and 2009 Caravans. The museum continues to offer great raffles and other fun opportunities for Corvette enthusiasts to participate in. STEERING COMMITTEE, OFFICERS AND SUNSHINE COMMITTEE REPORT The Sunshine Committee Micky Blaine s Mom passed away on March 19 th. The Club sent a card to Micky and her family. If you are aware of a Club member that may have an upcoming surgery, is under the weather, or just in need of some sunshine, please contact Karen O Malley so she can reach out to them on behalf of the Club. Club Steering Committee: Next Meeting TBD The Trip Around the Lake Steering Committee: Tim Krawczyk & Keven Schneider have volunteered to co-chair the trip this year. Thanks to both of you! The committee met on April 11 th at Holiday. As previously mentioned, Katie has completed the T- shirt/button design as well as the 2018 flyers. Katie you rock!! The t-shirt design is now available at New Visions in Fond du Lac - http://www.nvscreenprinting.com/ You can call them and order your event t-shirts anytime. The 2018 route has been planned and lots of other plans are getting under way. Sign-up sheets for volunteers for the event were at the April meeting and will be available for the May meeting as well. We are still in need of some volunteers. Please see the list below. If you would like to sign-up for anything, please contact Club Secretary Kari Schneider at kari@dhomesfdl.com to get added to the list. We appreciate everyone s help and participation to make this a great event for all! The committee will meet again following the regular Club meeting on Wednesday May 16 th. OLD AND NEW FOND DE VETTES NEWS OLD BUSINESS: Nothing old!! NEW BUSINESS: Kevin & Kari Schneider will be hosting a fish fry at Waverly on Friday May 18 th. We will leave from Tim s Alignment at 6:00 and will eat around 7:00 7:30. If you haven t already signed up to join us, please email Kevin, no later than Tuesday 5/15, at Kevin@dhomesfdl.com to get added to the list. Greg Teichmiller will be chairing the Walleye Weekend Security effort for the Club this year. Thanks Greg! Our Club will be doing overnight security on Friday and Saturday night June 8th & 9th. A sign-up sheet went around at the meeting and will be available at the May meeting as well. Coverage for Friday night is pretty good, but volunteers are still needed for Saturday night. If you haven t signed up and would like to help with the Walley Weekend overnight security, please contact Greg to get added to the list - tgregeloso@aol.com Rick & Kristin Kolstad are hosting a Dock Spiders game on Tuesday July 10 th. The game starts at 6:30 and the Club will meet prior for some tail gating fun at 5:30. Tuesdays at the ball park there are Johnsonville brats and 12 oz. craft brews available for $2 a piece!! The cost per ticket for the game is $10. The sign-up sheet went around at the meeting and will be available again at the May meeting. Payment for this event needs to be made prior to the game and by no later than June 10 th. If you are interested in joining the Club for this fun event, please contact one of your Club officers to get signed up! There will be a Wounded Warriors softball game at the Dock Spiders stadium (Herr-Baker Field) on Saturday August 11 th. The first game is a seven-inning game between WWAST/USA Patriots Softball and the Fond du Lac Fire Department. It will start at Noon. After the completion of the first game, there will be a Home Run Derby. The second game of the doubleheader will start at 3:00 PM and will be a seven-inning game that pits WWAST/USA Patriots Softball against the Fond du Lac Police Department. Following this game, Mozart s Cadillac will be playing in the Dockyard, along the 3 rd base line. Admission is free for the event and gates will open at 11:00AM. Food and Beverage will be available for purchase and no carry-ins will be allowed. Stay tuned for more information regarding possibly getting together for this event as a Club.

Tim & Laurie Krawczyk will be hosting a Trip to the Woods / Pig Roast on Saturday September 8 th. This is a free event for Club members and their families. More details will be made available as we get closer to the date.
