Spirit Week Monday, September 16, 2013 Friday, September 20, 2013 Monday: Clash Day Students will be allowed out of uniform only if their they are wearing multiple different colors and patterns. Wearing different color socks or shoes only will result in a uniform violation and the resulting penalty that it carries. Tuesday: Royalty Day Students can dress in costume according to the playing card of their class. Seniors and Juniors are Kings and Queens, Freshman and Sophomores are Jacks and Jokers. No masks aloud. Those not in costume or uniform will be issued a uniform violation. Wednesday: Class Colors Day Students will wear their class color. Thursday: Throwback Thursday Students can dress in the style of their favorite decade. Friday: Wildcat Day Students can dress in Wildcat Gear or blue and white.
Dates: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2013 Location: GYMNASIUM Time: 4:30-8:00 PM CLASS NIGHT Class set up time: 4:30 5: 30 PM (We will strictly follow this time line!) Judging for the decoration: 5:30-5:45 PM (Executive members and judges) Doors Open: 5:45 PM Games: 6:00 8:00 PM Admission: $5/person (Tickets will be sold during lunches) [No tickets will be sold at the doors]each student will be on the list. Hula Hoop Cross: Players must all fit through one hula hoop and get it to the end. Team to finish first wins. 2. Relay Race: Players on a team must compete in a series of mini games. (fit in potato sack race in) 3. Watermelon Race: 3 players from each class must sit in corners around the gym and do a watermelon race. One person from each class starts off running with a tray of watermelon to their station, must sit down and eat as much as they can. If they cannot finish, they must get up and run to the next person to eat and so forth. 4. Three- legged race: 2 players from each class must tie their feet together and race to the finish line first. 5. Donut Challenge: One player from each class must finish eating a donut hung from a string without making the donut drop. First person to finish win or first person to drop the donut loses.
6. Lemon Challenge: One player from each class must finish eating a lemon in 1-2 minutes. 7. Basketball Shooting Game: Players from each class must shoot as many baskets in 1-2 minutes. 8. Body Ball Roll: 2 players from each class must start off with a ball between their stomachs and try to get it to their neck and hold it there. 9. Starfish players run between the legs of each team member to try and grab the prize in the middle
Pep Rally Friday, September 20, 2013 1:30 4:10 PM Gymnasium Timeline: FREEZING 3 RD PERIOD 1:10 1:25 Students go to 3 rd period while hall sweep team clears the halls. Sports teams and band will go to the gym. Performers will report to the gym. 1:25 Dismissal of A, B, G, Gym, K Buildings to the gym. Teachers accompany their classes. Third period planners should also go to the gym. 1:35 3 rd period teachers can return to their classes for planning if they wish. 3 rd period planners will stay with the students. 1:45 Pep Rally #1 Begins Line- up (tentative) I. Friday, September 20, 2013 7:00 to 10:00 PM Cafeteria Homecoming Dance Tickets: $10.00/ticket/500 tickets sold at school only only outside guests with school I.D. will be allowed to enter Dress Code: Boys: Collared shirts; tie; dress shoes no sneakers Girls: Arm length dresses; no low cut tops Timeline: 6:50 Doors open in front of main office of the C- building. Staff checks names off list. 7:00 Dance officially begins 9:00 NSGA Sponsor Kevin Burke will close doors. No students allowed in after. 10:00 Dance is dismissed. Students are led through C Building outside of the school. 10:30 All students should be off school property. Security and Custodial Staff Provided by NHS
