Their projects look awesome and really creative! Keep up the good work, Grade 2! This month the grades 1 and 2 students went to visit the Kirkland Library. They met with the librarians and learned how to classify the books. After the library, the students had to write a short story. They enjoyed their visit and learned many new things. This year for Remembrance Day the grades 1 and 2 students wrote postcards to the soldiers and veterans. They sent them and hopefully some will write back. The students also attended the Remembrance Day ceremony where Chief Warrant Officer Gilles Gagnon spoke to the school. They made beautiful wreaths to remind us of the soldiers that died in war.

It was also a chance to donate books to the library and we thank the parents for baking and bringing some delicious goodies and treat such as cakes, cupcakes, cookies, juice boxes, etc. Raffle tickets were also sold for things such as Joshua Perets clothing baskets, dinner with Mr. Posh, a hockey stick, an aquarium, Mega Blocks merchandise, free dress day, etc. I hope you all enjoyed that experience and a big thank you to the librarians and volunteers for another successful year!
