RACE REPORTS RACE 1 WELCOME TO UNIBET GARDENS MAIDEN 515M WINNER MRS. SPRING (6) COSMIC RUM (7) was slow to begin. DON T TELL JO (4) and CANNY DRIVE (5) came together soon after the start, causing PAW WARREN (3) and VICTOR ROY (2) to hamper. VICTOR ROY (2), PAW WARREN (3), CANNY DRIVE (5) and HOOVER BLU (8) all impacted on the first turn, with CANNY DRIVE (5) and HOOVER BLU (8) severely checking and racing wide into the turn. The incident caused HOOVER BLU (8) to stumble and lose significant ground. MRS. SPRING gained momentum and speed in the concluding stages of the race to upend WORLD EXCITE (1) who was a clear leader out of the boxes. SHE S ALL ROCK (7) checked soon after the start between runners and lost ground. NITRO DIDDLE (6) checked off the heels of FREEWAY REAGAN (3) at the first turn and lost ground, causing PAWS OF WINSLOW (8) to check. FREEWAY REAGAN (3) raced wide in the back straight. RACE 3 GREYHOUNDPRODUCTSDIRECT.COM STAKES 400M WINNER AVATAR FOX (8) All runners began well and raced in a tight pack to the first turn, all checking to varying degrees, with HAVE A SIP (3), JACK BAUER (4) and GOODWIN LUCY (1) being worst affected by the interference and losing ground. AVATAR FOX (8) raced strongly from the back straight to attain the lead and win the event. JACK BAUER (4) then crossed in front of HAVE A SIP (3) at the turn out of the back straight, causing HAVE A SIP (3) to check and momentarily lose ground. COMPLETE RUN ON 8, 5, 2, 6, 7, 4, 3, 1 2 ¾ x 3 23.06 (11.32) RACE 4 BISHOP COLLINS STAKES 400M WINNER DORADO (3) DORADO (3) jumped away well and sprung to the lead at the first turn to win the event. TIME IS PRECIOUS (2) shifted out at the first turn, causing TEARS FOR ALEX (4), GRAND DIDDLE (7) and LEGGY BLONDE (8) all to check, with TEARS FOR ALEX (4) and LEGGY BLONDE (8) severely checking and losing ground shortly thereafter. RACE 5 STEVE WHALLAND RACE IMAGES STAKES 515M WINNER VISTA KWAZI (1) VISTA KWAZI (1) jumped away best. JERRY CAN (5) and CARLUKAL (6) came together approaching the first turn. PRANCING TIGER (3) then shifted out at the first turn, causing LAST LINE (8) to check. Soon after, JERRY CAN (5) shifted down in the path of MARBEL ROSE (7), causing MARBEL ROSE (7) to check off its back and race wide at the first turn. JERRY CAN (5) and MARBEL ROSE (7) came together at the turn into the home straight. GYPSY FLASH (5) and JETHROWTULL (7) both checked approaching the first turn. SMART ANGELINA (8), ONE CALL AWAY (6) and FANCY JACKSON (3) came together at the first turn. FANCY JACKSON (3) then checked off the heels of MYRNIONG ANGEL (2) soon after, with MY LIGHTING BLUE (1) following suit and also checking off the back of MYRNIONG ANGEL (2). RACE 7 DA-ICE STAKES 515M WINNER STICKY NICKY (6) HOMBRE MONTANA (5) stalled at the start, checking LONE SNIPER (6) soon after. VIVA OPAL (3) and MISTER PURPLE (4) also checked soon after the start. BLIND VISION (8) then crossed shortly after hampering ZIPPING PIXIE (7) and LONE SNIPER (6). VIVA OPAL (3) shifted out at the first turn checking BLIND VISION (8), with HOMBRE MONTANA (5) checking off the back of STICKY NICKY (2) soon after, and racing wide into ZIPPING PIXIE (7). As a result of the incident, ZIPPING PIXIE (7) was pushed out wide into the path of LONE SNIPER (6), who was already racing wide going past the first turn. This caused LONE SNIPER (6) to fall and roll, resulting in LONE SNIPER (6) colliding with the catching pen gate. MISTER PURPLE (4) and HOMBRE MONTANA (5) both checked at the turn into the home straight. LONE SNIPER (6) was examined by the veterinary surgeon soon after the event and was humanely euthanised after suffering a compound fracture to his offside foreleg. ARNA WINSLOW (7), O HARA (6) and DEEJAY FRANKIE (4) raced tightly approaching the first turn. DEEJAY FRANKIE (4) checked off the back of COOKIE CUTTER (1) at the first turn, causing it to check O HARA (6). ARNA WINSLOW (7) and ARMATREE BOY (5) both raced wide past the first turn, causing both runners to check. DON T KNOCK PAT (3) checked off the heels of O HARA (6) at the turn out of the back straight, causing DON T KNOCK PAT (3) to lose ground. At the turn into the home straight DEEJAY FRANKIE (4) turned its head and preceded to Marr onto CHASE THE DREAM (8). DEEJAY FRANKIE (4) was subsequently stood down from competing at The Gardens for 28 days under GAR 69 (1) for Marring (1 st Offence). The greyhound must complete one satisfactory trial with two others before being
eligible to nominate and race. All runners then raced tightly to the first turn, suffering varying degrees of interference. FAST MEL (1) raced wide in the back straight, before shifting down in front of DESSERT ANGEL (2) at the turn out of the back straight, causing DESSERT ANGEL (2) to check. COMPLETE RUN ON 1, 7, 2, 3, 6, 5, 8, 4 3 x ¾ 22.96 (11.31) FAST MEL (1) direction of stewards RACE 10 KEYBOW AT STUD STAKES 400M WINNER MISS HAC (1) All runners began well and raced in tight pack to the first turn. MISS HAC (1) gained speed and momentum at the first turn to win the event. MOLLY WAFFLE (3), MENZIE S SHYBOW (5), IN THE QUE (6), ZIAM (7) and GILLIESTON GIRL (8) all checked to varying degrees at the first turn, with IN THE QUE (6) being severely hampered and worst affected, dropping back sharply soon after. IN THE QUE (6) was examined by the veterinary surgeon soon after the event and was found to have no injury.
COMPLETE RUN ON 1, 2, 3, 8, 5, 7, 6 2 ¾ x Nose 23.03 (11.17) MISS HAC (1) direction of stewards. After several attempts to obtain a sample from MISS HAC (1), the swab was aborted at 7.16pm. RACE 11 FROM THE TRACK STAKES 400M WINNER CAMACHO (6) REVLON BABE (7) was slow to begin. CAMACHO (6) crossed at the first turn, causing NATURAL SWIPER (3) and MARK S EXPRESS (1) to check and lose ground. COMPLETE RUN ON 6, 3, 1, 4, 7, 8 2 x 3 ¾ 22.97 (11.12) RACE 12 UNIBET LUCKY LAST STAKES 400M WINNER O LEARY (3) BLIXT (6) was slow to begin. FANCY SWUFF (5) crossed at the first turn causing MIA KATHRYN (1) to check and drop back through the field hampering EL SICARIO (4) and LIKE DA CLAPPERS (8) in their run. O LEARY (3) was able to gain momentum in the back straight to win the event.
