Current Pledged + Balance of BFF Fund: $1,455,756.40 (as of 1/16/2018) Percentage raised of $1,800,000: 80.88% Fund Balance (money collected-expenses): $601,154.47 (as of 12/30/2017) Expenses Paid from Expansion Restricted Fund: $118,562.15 (as of 12/30/2017) What does Marrying Design with Budget mean? One of the steps from Consolidated Construction is listed as Marry Design with Budget. We received feedback from the parish office that people felt this meant the gathering space would be reduced in size. This is no one s intent. We feel the gathering space must accommodate at least 150 or more, as this was the average funeral size determined. Directly from CCC: There are no changes to the plan being proposed, only a commitment by CCC to give you some options on what can be done with whatever funding is available. That is why it is pivotal we wrap-up our financial and in-kind pledges/donations by the end of January. That will give the building committee and CCC time to determine the options while still meeting EVERY ONE of our identified needs. What if we don t raise enough money? As we have said from Day One: if we do not go forward with this project, every dollar donated can be returned, if that is the donor s wish. We are only asking for pledges, if you are not comfortable donating at this time. From the time the construction begins, you will still have four years to fulfill your pledge. What are the important dates? We had published the best case timeline from Consolidated Construction in previous communication. It is important to note that this is a draft timeline that is possible, but not probable after learning in a meeting late last week with all committees and parish staff, that we will need to designate more time with the Diocese for meetings and approvals. Once we have a refined timeline, we will share it. However, with the Bishop s Appeal starting in February, our Capital Campaign must focus on January 2018 as our end date. During the Bishop s Appeal we are not allowed to make any broad, public requests for money. We simply can t wait until the Bishop s Appeal to be met before taking up the Capital Campaign efforts again. Our momentum is now. As a Capital Campaign Committee we feel we have exhausted our ideas to continue to raise funds. Please consider making your commitment today. Rocket Recorder 6
