All Mongol armies will use: 1x3Cv(Gen), 2x3Cv, 9x2LH. No artillery. In the year of the Tiger, 1206, the whole steppes stood watching as the great Khuriltai was being held. Temujin planned to become Chengis Khan, emperor all who lived in felt tents - emperor of the steppes. As the ruler of Mongolia, Chengis would ensure the longevity of his empire, a somewhat daunting task, since not so long ago his empire had been a chaotic battleground of many nomadic powers. But now Temujin s plans were dust. He drew his last breath and died, victim of his horse stepping in a marmot hole and throwing him badly during a drunken night time ride across the steppes. The funeral is over. The tribes have scattered back to their homelands, each convinced they could guide the nation as well as Temujin would have. So it begins. GM: Jeff Caruso With Lance and Destrier Comes The Apocalypse End of the World at Y1K Campaign Theme 5pm 11pm Rules: v2.2+, As many rounds as we can fit in! As the year 1000 approached, Dark Ages Christianity expected the End of Days. Magyar, Viking, and Arab raiders did their best to validate these Millennial theories by sacking and burning everything they could. No part of Western Europe was safe; some parts
had the dubious pleasure of being sacked by all three in the same decade. But the world didn t end. Otto I reformed the Empire of Charlemagne, more or less. The Byzantine Empire was resurgent, more or less. The Vikings quieted down, and the various Islamic powers fought among themselves. It was a brand new age -- what old power would regain its one-time strength, as the Byzantines hoped to? What new power could ride the crest of history to gain primacy? Now comes the dawn of Feudalism, and the rise of the Mounted Knights of the West.
