JUDO Because Judo is so popular and has such strong infrastructure in San Jose, the San Jose Convention Center will provide a fitting venue for the competition. BASOC has developed plans for a 13,000-seat venue in the San Jose Convention Center, including custom-designed individual cabins for the athletes, situated around warm-up tatamis and other training facilities. These superb conditions will assist the athletes in achieving maximum preparation for bouts. The seating is designed as an enclosed bowl to promote a sense of intimacy and excitement, with outstanding sightlines augmented by video screens. The San Jose Convention Center, located in the heart of the city of San Jose and Silicon Valley, is a modern facility with substantial dedicated spaces available for all the Olympic Family members, including a press subcenter, media lounge and Olympic Family Lounge. Spectators will enjoy the spacious foyer. In the adjacent plaza, spectators and Olympic enthusiasts visiting San Jose will be treated to an Olympic celebration, ensuring that their experience will be memorable. Additionally, travel to and from the venue will be expedient, because the Convention Center offers a stop on the VTA Light Rail and is a short walk from Caltrain. In strict accordance with the answers given for question 9.1.1, give a detailed list of the total number of proposed competition venues, indicating the disciplines and events to be held at each site.
