March March Dance Instruction CDC DANCE Our instructors for March are Ed Godby-Schwab and Diana Miller who will teach us some sexy rumba moves. Ed teaches in several venues and has over 40 years of dance experience in several styles of dance, including ballroom, jazz, ballet and modern. He currently teaches ballroom dancing as an adjunct professor at IUPUI. Diana discovered her love of dance as a child. After taking classes from Ed, they formed the partnership Let s Dance-Indy and teach together at various locations and dance clubs around the area. A Word February 2019 from Our President ball in the backroom as well as popcorn and snacks for us to enjoy. I went to the back room a couple times and guess what? There was nobody watching the game! I guess the score for that evening was CDC 65/ Football 13. Next, it was bring on the Oscars and Red Carpet. Our members sure know how to have fun, and I was very pleased with how stunning the get-ups sported by our ladies were. And, just so I don t catch a lot of heat from you gentlemen, you looked very handsome that night, as well. Lots of eye candy at CDC that night. To all who brought snacks and wonderful desserts to share, thank you, as always. I would like to take a couple of minutes to recognize our board members and let you know what they do for our club. They are a big part of why this club has been successful since 1955. Each of the board members does many, many things for our club, and I am naming just a few here. Trust me, we are not taking credit for all of the past sixty-four years. What we are trying to do is keep our club fun, affordable, and profitable. Dance Flyers. Rudy manages2the Number CDCVolume phone 59, message line and monitors CDC s dance schedule on the Starlight website. Aina Clayton has the task of seeing to it that we have a band or DJ every Sunday night, and also sends out get-well or condolence cards as needed. Tanya Marshall plans and oversees our Special Sunday events and feasts, makes advertising fliers and decorates the tables and the ballroom. Nancy Lutz, our treasurer, takes care of our finances and organizes our Indiana Roof ticket sales and tables. Rhoda Israelov, our secretary, takes the minutes at our monthly board meeting, writes the My CDC feature for the newsletter, and runs the Yellow Quiz contests whenever she is on the mic.
