ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE - MONDAY 25 APRIL The will join the Beresfield and District RSL Sub-Branch for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Beresfield Community War Memorial, Anderson Drive, Beresfield. We would like to invite all of our players and families to attend this service, which will commence at 5.40am. Our club will also be marching at the pre-service parade and encourage our players and families to join us if you are able. Please meet at 5.15am across the road from the War Memorial on the corner of Anderson Drive and Greville Streets, Beresfield for the march to commence at 5.30am. Please wear something warm with this years game day polo, club shirt, club jacket, or club colours. The Dawn Service will commence at 5.40am and go for approximately 45minutes. During the service, our club will be laying a book tribute which will be donated to a local school. After the service, the Beresfield Bowling Club will be hosting an ANZAC Breakfast by gold coin donation. Senior Bears Our Seniors team play Swansea at 2pm this Sunday 24 April 2016 at Parbury Oval, Swansea. The Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League preview for this game says an unbeaten Swansea take on Thornton who are two from three. Swansea haven t been tested since a round one win over Hinton so will need to make sure they have their game heads on in this one, which promises to be close. This will be another great game and it would be great to see some extra Bears supporters out there cheering our team on! Friday Night Game Our Under 17 s will be playing at 6pm this Friday night under lights at Cahill Oval, Belmont against the Lakes United Seagulls. This is a great opportunity to watch a quality game of live, local football on a Friday night so head out to Belmont to support our Under 16 s. Good players inspire themselves. Great players inspire others. Under 8 s, 9 s and 11 s Players Wanted We are still looking for players for our Under 8 s (born in 2008), Under 9 s (born in 2007) and Under 11-3 s (born in 2005) teams. All level of experience and new players are welcome. If you know someone who might be interested, please let them know.

Important Safety Notice The ambulance access bay in the parking lot at Somerset Park must be kept clear at all times. This includes game days AND training nights. Thanks and Congratulations The would like to thank our Social Coordinators, Michelle Wells and Kim Harper, for their fantastic efforts organising and running our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser today. We're so glad the weather didn't dampen your spirits as you ladies did such an awesome job in what turned out to be a very successful day. Thanks are also due to the many volunteers who helped throughout the day. We had so many offers of help and we were well manned throughout the very full day of service. Thanks also to the wonderful volunteers who went out for extra supplies when needed - you helped keep things running so smoothly and we really appreciate your help! Congratulations to Hayden Tobin from our Under 10's, who won our State of Origin raffle. We hope you enjoy your jersey, cap, scarf and football from Rebel Sports at Green Hills. And last but not least, thank you to every single person who came out and supported our club by buying a sausage sandwich, drink, or raffle ticket. Your support is what keeps our great club going strong! 2016 TBRLC Executive Committee President Jordy Eckford 0402 251 926 president@tbrlc.com Vice President Andrew Tuxford 0409 946 793 vicepres@tbrlc.com Secretary Wendy Stephens 0421 638 611 secretary@tbrlc.com Treasurer Jenny Robertson 0412 741 989 treasurer@tbrlc.com Registrar Shelley Pillidge 0411 279 982 registrar@tbrlc.com TBRLC Monthly General Meetings Our General Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in the Rainbow Room at the Beresfield Bowling Club. Please join us at our next General Meeting on Tuesday, 10 May 2016.

Not My Job! Here s a story you might have heard before but we thought we d share again here This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done. There are quite a few important jobs that need to be done in order for our club to operate each week and they are things that Anybody can do! Thanks to a wonderful group of people who are willing to give a few extra hours a week, most of our volunteer roles are covered; however, we still have an immediate need help around the grounds and with merchandise. If you can help with the grounds, please contact our Grounds Manager, Chris Lee on 0439 536 834 OR if you re able to help with Merchandise, please call Wendy on 0421 638 611 or email secretary@tbrlc.com. Don t leave this up to Somebody else - if we have a few more regular volunteers, Everybody will benefit! 2016 Dates to Remember Sat 23 April: Round 3 Mon 25 April: ANZAC Day Sat 30 April: Round 4 Sat 7 May: Round 5 Tues 10 May: TBRLC General Meeting Sat 14 May: Round 6 Sat 21 May: Round 7 Sat 28 May: Round 8 Sat 4 June: Round 9 Sat 18 June: Round 10 Sat 25 June: Trivia Night NOTE: Dates may change due to wet weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Bero Bowlo Tuesday Meat Raffle Our club hosts the Meat Raffle each Tuesday at the Beresfield Bowling Club as part of our club s fundraising. This is a great opportunity to win one of twenty meat trays, a Bero Bowlo Gift Card, or a Caltex Gift Card while helping raise money for our club. The Bero Bowlo is a child-friendly venue where you can enjoy dinner, a few drinks, and some great company while waiting for your lucky numbers to come up. Tickets go on sale from 5.30pm and are $1 for five numbers OR $10 gives you an extra $10 free OR $20 gives you an extra $30 free. The draw starts at 6.30pm. There is also the Bero Bowlo members draw at the 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm on the same night with the prize money starting at $5,000 and jackpotting $100 each draw until won. Our teams will take turns co-hosting the Raffle and will need to have 1 to 2 people volunteer to help our Raffle Coordinator, Stew Chalmers at the ticket table.
