Approval of February Minutes Secretary Anna Lane read the minutes from the February2015 meeting. Victor Pettett made a motion to accept the minutes as read which was seconded by Sheila Martin. Treasurer s Report Treasurer Robin Peterson was absent from this evening s meeting so Vice- President Bob Seiter gave the treasurer s report for March. A motion was made by Ernie Pierce to accept the report as presented. This motion was seconded by Rob Lane.

March Birthdays President Ron Kellogg recognized the club members celebrating a birthday in March. They are Billie Dempsey, Larry Harless, Cynthia McKinney, Edward Nunley, Susie Nunley, Cindy Pettett, Alice Ray, Donna Roddy, Bill Ross, Inez Simons, Evie Usalis and Darrell Widner. Happy Birthday from the River City Corvette Club! Las Vegas Trip Shelley Williams reported we did not get the minimum number of commitments to qualify for the group rate for the Las Vegas trip however those that were interested have either worked with Teena to book their trips or made their own plans. If others find later they are able to attend they can still work through Teena or make their own reservations. Bob stated there are at least six couples/pairs attending at this time but it is not too late to join the fun! Integrity Car Show-Spring Ron reminded members of the Integrity Car Show scheduled for April 18, 2015 from 9:00-1:00. Ron stated many volunteers are needed to assist with registration, judging and parking. Ron stated this is a pretty good money maker for our charities and he is hopeful for a good turn-out. Integrity Car Show-Fall Anna reported the date of the fall Integrity Car Show is scheduled for October 31, 2015. Anna stated plans are to take advantage of the car show falling on Halloween by having a Halloween costume contest, have the DJs play spooky music and have treat bags for any children attending. Anna encouraged club members to consider dressing up for this spooktacular event.

RCCC Classic Car Show at Camp Jordan Ron reported the contract with the city of East Ridge for the use of Camp Jordan Arena is finalized however there is one topic for discussion. Originally when a group of members were attending an event at Camp Jordan and discussion of the possibility of RCCC partnering with the city of East Ridge, the use of the large tent to be placed outside the arena for additional staging of cars was offered as part of the deal. It has since been discovered since an outside company is involved there is a $1000 set up/take down fee for this tent which RCCC would be responsible for paying if we choose to use the tent. Board members were disappointed to hear about this expense however agreed since the show is taking place in August it would be beneficial to have the tent. Board members brainstormed the idea of finding business sponsors to offset the expense. In return sponsors will be able to have a sign advertising their business in/on the tent and RCCC would advertise their sponsorship at the show. Ron stated there are a few club members who own businesses he could contact to determine if they are interested in participating in the sponsorship of the tent. The location of the tent will be determined when the car show committee makes an on-site visit to Camp Jordan to determine the layout for the car show. Ron stated as the date of this show gets closer RCCC members will be encouraged to preregister in an effort to reduce the lines for registration at the actual show. Ron stated all three charities will have a presence at the show. In fact Ron stated Hospice of Chattanooga who normally has a car show in the fall stated they might consider canceling their show this year and have a larger presence at our show. Gary Martin stated he is working with Griffin Cycle to showcase some of their products at the show. Brian Williams is negotiating with Harley Davidson to determine how much space they want at the show. Gary and Bob will be meeting with O Reillys Auto Parts about a potential sponsorship of trophies for the show. Gary encouraged club members to make contacts with any merchants they may have a connection with to consider sponsorship of the tent or donate items for donation baskets.

Anna and Ron encouraged members to take flyers advertising the show as they attend other shows and events. Ron stated Alice has created a really nice flyer which is available on the club s website for members to print as needed. Gary reported there will be an article about the car show in the East Ridge magazine that is mailed out to all East Ridge residents. As an aside Ron mentioned the club recently placed an order for business cards and when they arrived he will give a few to club members to have on hand to pass out to prospective members they may encounter. RCCC Bylaws Bob reported the Bylaws Review Committee consists of Anna Lane, Mike Nabors, Tim Nutz, Victor Pettett and himself as chair. Committee members are currently reviewing the Bylaws and making notes of suggested edits. Bob reported this group will meet and report their recommendations at an upcoming meeting. One of the main topics for consideration is the fact the current Bylaws state the meeting minutes should be posted in the monthly newsletter which anyone who accesses the club s website can see. Board members think this should be changed so that minutes are only available to members via email. Several club members agreed. The Bylaws are not posted on the website however any member wanting a copy should let Ron or Bob know and they will send them a copy. Upcoming Events of Interest in and President Ron Kellogg stated board members discussed car shows and upcoming events that may be of interest to club members. Coordinators for these events will need to be identified and Ron asked club members to think about these events and contact him if they are interested in serving as coordinator. Vice-president Bob Seiter stated it is important to reciprocate attendance at neighboring car shows for clubs who attended our shows.

Day Cruises o Foglight Food House Mike Nabors volunteered to coordinate this cruise once a date is identified. o 55 South o Hot Rod 50s Café-Maryville, TN o Cades Cove Ron stated this is just a short list of possible events the club could participate in. If club members know of another event they should let him know. Armed Forces Day Parade River City Corvette Club has been invited to participate in the Armed Forces Day parade scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2015. Ron stated several members have expressed interest in participating. There is a sign-up sheet circulating at tonight s meeting for those interested in participating in this important event. He will send the registration form (no charge to participate) with an estimated number of cars. Ron stated it is an honor the club has been asked to participate because to his knowledge there have not been cars in past parades. There is discussion about a luncheon after the parade but Ron does not have information about this at this time. Camp Jordan Jams Ron stated River city Corvette club has been invited to Camp Jordan Jams a free concert series put on by the city of East Ridge. Club members get to park up by the stage. The first concert is scheduled for May 23, 2015 and another July 3, 2015 featuring The Beaters and fireworks. Both of these concerts provide a great opportunity for club members to advertise our August 1 car show at Camp Jordan.

RCCC Cruise-ins Ron explained years ago the club used to have weekend cruise-ins on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoons/evenings. Some of the locations these were held included the old Walmart shopping, the parking lot near Buffalo Wild Wings and K-mart s parking lot. Ron would like to start these weekend cruiseins back up again. Club members agreed this is a great idea. Ron stated the Scenic City Chevy Club would like to join in with us. This would not take the place of Friday Night Lights but as usual food will be involved. April 25 Shows Victor reported for those not attending the National Corvette Museum bash there is a car show scheduled for April 25 at Corinth Baptist Church in Lafayette, GA. Victor stated there were over 70 cars at the show last year and it is a good cause to support. Bob stated the car show at Central High School is also scheduled for this date and is another well attended event. Several club members have participated in the show in past years. 50/50 Drawing A total of $120 was collected for the 50/50 drawing with $60 to the winner; Alan-our waiter for the evening. Adjournment Larry Harless made a motion to adjourn the March meeting. Victor Pettett seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Anna Lane
