Volume 52 - Issue 1 January, 2018 Air Capital Corvette Club Newsletter Message from the Prez... January dates to remember Birth Signs: 1/1 New Year s Day 1/15 Martin Luther King Birthstone: Garnet Flower: Snowdrop and Carnation HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Let s make it a great Corvette year. I hope you were able to enjoy the time and make some great memories with your family and friends over the holidays. We had so much fun at the annual Christmas Party at Sedgwick County Park! Thank you to Marsha Bataglear and Betty Henderson who coordinated the beautiful Christmas decorations to make our evening so special. Thank you to our auctioneer s Dale Brotton and Glen Bailey. Thank you to Victor Cooper who picked up the main course, pulled pork and brisket and to everyone who brought a yummy dish to share. On behalf of the club membership, thank you to those who came early to help set up and stayed late to help clean up. We even had a reserved table this year for a birthday boy Travis Pearson who turned the big 50! We had a great turnout filled with fun and laughter. The club collected $316.00 from the white elephant gift exchange that was donated to the Lords Dinner, an ACCC tradition. The Lords Dinner does a tremendous job providing nutritious hot meals to anyone in our community who walks through their doors. We hope this donation will help continue the good work their organization provides. This was a perfect way to end the holiday season and a great start to the New Year. Continued on Page 2 Page 1
