Carl Devine Club Statement/Player and Family Commitment Don The Kingsport Volleyball Club (KVC) shall: Provide an opportunity for players to develop their individual and team volleyball skills Offer opportunities to play on either travel or non-travel teams Form teams based on ability, age, and position via coaching evaluation Individual player improvement, team success, and the success of KVC are dependent upon commitment from players and their families. It should be understood that participation in this club requires a commitment of time, effort and finances. Players and their families should enter into the program well aware of these requirements.

Don Stephens Type of Teams/Fees/Practices & Tournaments Leslie Non-Travel Who may participate: Primarily for grades 3-7 (USAV age 13 & under) Players at beginner skill level Players not able to commit to the rigors of travel teams Primary Purpose: Fundamental skill development Introduction to KVC and competitive volleyball Fees: Tryout Fee: $50 ($75 after October 9, 2016) Additional Annual Fee to Play: $400 (local tournaments are an additional cost) Included in this fee: One 2-hour practice per week Positional Training Sessions Possible home tournament Local Scrimmages Season will run Nov/Dec through the second week of March Officiating Clinic SRVA registration Gym Costs T-shirt Uniform with number Coaches salary

Don Stephens Type of Teams/Fees/Practices & Tournaments Carl Travel Who may participate: Players USAV ages 18 and under Players with evaluated skill levels required for competitive travel teams Players/parents willing to commit to the time and financial obligations of a travel team Notes: Team placement will be made by the KVC coaching committee after observation of the tryout process Fees: Tryout Fee: $50 ($75 after October 9, 2016) Additional Annual Fee to Play: $1050 base for 8 tournament days Apparel Costs: TBD Note: These fees do not include player travel, lodging or meal expenses. Liz Blakley Parent Volunteers Team Representative Serve as a liaison between coach and parents to communicate team information. Serve, as needed, as a liaison between the KVC Director and the Coach/ Travel Coordinator to communicate tournament status. Coordinate parents to provide (healthy) food and drinks to the team at tournament. Assist the coach, as needed Serve as a liaison between team and KVC board regarding jersey orders, apparel orders, tournament fees (extra), club events, and club equipment. Must have email access and a cell phone and be willing to communicate with team. Travel Coordinator Research and negotiate hotel reservation for tournaments as needed. Players normally room with parents. Communicate with parents and coach regarding hotel name, location, phone number, price, dates, directions, and reservation deadline, and group code. Parents and coach will be responsible for securing their room on a credit card in the group block prior to the deadline. Work with the Team Representative to communicate directions to players and coach TO the hotel from Kingsport and to the venue (gym) at each tournament. Arrive early at each tournament and scout out the gym, gym entrance, etc. and relay any updated directions to the team, coach, ball-keeper. Ball Keeper Keeper of the team ball bag / balls / ball cart. Balls need to be at each tournament early and collected at the end of each tournament. Additional equipment may be included (ball pump and first aid kit) and will need to be kept up with. Occasionally, balls and cart will be needed at practice. Note: Do not store volleyballs in vehicle in cold weather. Team Photographer Take photos of team during the season; share with the team and forward to the club web site coordinator.

USA VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR PLAYER AGE DEFINITION For use during the 2016-2017 Season 18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1998 or Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year 17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1999 16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2000 15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2001 14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2002 13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2003 12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2004
