One of the benefits of being a LLIA member is a reduced fee for your portion of the SONAR Treatment. If you have not paid for SONAR, please do so. Every single property owner benefits from the SONAR treatment! We all saw the result with a year delay in treating the lake. It didn t take long to go from pristine to OMG what happened. Can you imagine what it would have been if we had not been able to treat this year? Keeping the lake pristine is everyone s responsibility and only a few cannot carry the load alone. L.L.I.A., Inc. 20 th Annual Young Anglers Fishing Tournament Provides Fun Morning of Family Fishing On Sunday morning August 14, the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association Inc. hosted their 20 th annual young anglers fishing tournament on beautiful Lake Lauderdale. The 59 young anglers age 18 months to 15 years old, lined the county park shoreline for a fun morning of fishing, face painting, food and prizes. Calvin Schneider caught the 33 fish and was the grand prize winner. More than 213 Fish were caught. Congratulations to the following winners: Photo courtesy of John Altobelli Most Fish Caught: Calvin Schneider Age Group 1-6 yrs: Elijah Barnes, Chloe Dufty, Kael James Waytkus Age Group 7 10 yrs: Alexandra Petersen, Trenton Terry, and Sam Eddy Age 11-15 yrs: a two way tie: Isaac Toleman and Hunter Barnes, Kiernan Salls Also awarded were: youngest Fisherman- Cassidy Eastman; Smallest fish caught - Sara Kirkpatrick; Found a snail-gavin Male; Most Unique Catch-Zoe James: caught a dragon fly. Thanks to the generosity and support from individual donations, Cambridge area businesses and several nationally known fishing companies, all young anglers received a prize for participating in this event. This annual event hosted by the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association, Inc. provides a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a fun morning of fishing and fun. Please take a moment and mark your 2017 calendar for the L.L.I.A. Inc., 21st annual young anglers fishing tournament which will take place on Sunday, August 13, 2017. The 2017 tournament will run from 8am to 10:30am and will feature the usual fun morning of fishing and face painting and prizes.

September 6th Flotilla: 58 people and 5 dogs participated in the flotilla. Thank you to everyone who helped pre-cook, cook, and act has hops. It was great to see everyone! Thank you to Paul Collins, Captain Extraordinare who transported Bill Jagoe to the flotilla. Thank you to Jeanette Wiley for cooking with Bill Pfister. The 50/50 winner was Wes and Ann Mook who won $274.50. The Mook s have donated it all back to the association. Thank you for your generosity! Please remember that the Association counts on membership participation for our fund raisers. Thank you for helping in this effort! Super 50/50 raffle was won by Ed Cody, Jr. 91 tickets were sold. We are looking for volunteers to help promote this fund raiser.

We would like to thank both Clare and Chuck Hunt for their numerous years of commitment to LLIA. We wish them the very best with their move and the new chapter in their lives.
