Race 1 - Ern Jensen Funerals Handicap - 1800 metres: Judelly - slow to begin. Raced wide without cover in the early stages until crossing to take up a position outside the leader near the 1000m. Rider Luke Nolen was cautioned and advised to exercise more care when allowing his mount to shift in near the 1300m placing Magellan and Winkelmann (NZ) in restricted room for a short distance. Luke Nolen was of the opinion that the gelding would be better suited on a track with more give. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. White Lady - began awkwardly. Lost its off fore plate in running. Red Right Hand - over-raced in the early stages. Had to be eased near the 1400m to avoid the heels of Al Cosmic Gift which shifted in when over-racing. Al Cosmic Gift - over-raced in the early stages. Rider Daniel Stackhouse was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when allowing his mount to shift in near the 1400m when not clear of Red Right Hand. The Stewards accepted that the geldings racing manners contributed to the incident. Soju Warrior - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Magellan - near the 1000m, when over-racing, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Soju Warrior when the pace steadied. Winkelmann (NZ) - raced wide without cover from the 1000m Fomo - rider Luke Currie stated that the colt travelled well but when placed under pressure failed to respond. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 2 - Sky High Mt Dandenong Handicap - 2000 metres: Xebec (USA) - late withdrawal by order of Stewards at 12.46pm when the gelding refused to load. This delayed the start of the race by approximately two minutes and the gelding and must now gain further approval in an official trial prior to racing again. All monies bet for a win and/or place and concession betting on the late scratching to be refunded. All successful bets on horses prior to time of withdrawal are subject to the following deductions in the dollar from the face value of the ticket: win bets - 3 cents, place bets (for winner) - 3 cents, place bets (for 2 nd ) - 3 cents and place bets (for 3 rd ) - 4 cents. Hursley (NZ) - connections advised would be ridden closer from the gate; settled behind the leader. Super Haze (IRE) - began awkwardly. Held up rounding the home turn (400m) and in the early part of the home straight and then when attempting to improve between Mightiest and Lycurgus near the 100m had to be steadied. Rider Beau Mertens was of the opinion his

mount would derive benefit from todays run. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Transfer Allowance - slow to begin. Lycurgus - slow to begin. Goathland (IRE) - got its head up when over-racing passing the 1600m. Passing the 800m attempted to shift out and jostled with Overberg (NZ) which was carried wider. Mightiest - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Overberg (NZ) - raced wide without cover for the majority and was carried wider passing the 800m when Goathland (IRE) attempted to shift out. Snitzelwood - lost its near fore plate in running. Anaheim - rider Stephen Baster could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 3 - No Fuss Events Hire Handicap - 1200 metres: Lauchetti - began awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Taddei Tondo - raced wide and keenly throughout. Sir Mask - raced wide without cover throughout. Schneller - held up rounding the home turn (400m) until approaching the 200m. Foreign Affair - inconvenienced near the 400m when Baby Dont Cry shifted out to improve. Rider Beau Mertens was of the opinion the mare would be better suited back in class. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Dane Thunder - held up passing the 300m where it had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Mr Sneaky which had shifted out to improve, and continued to be held up until passing the 200m and at the same time proved difficult to ride when laying in. Baby Dont Cry - laid out under pressure in the home straight. Race 4 - Changing Place Real Estate Handicap - 1100 metres: Club Tropicana - shortly after the start was tightened between Soviet Secret and Pearl Congenial which shifted out.

Airino - over-raced throughout. Call Me Tess - raced wide without cover. Menabrea - laid inwards in the home straight. Rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Moonlites Choice - rider Dean Yendall could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 5 - Thoroughbred Club Cup (Listed) - 1200 metres: Basanite - tightened at the start when Al Passem shifted in. Doubt Im Dreaming - tightened at the start out onto Basanite when Seized shifted out. Rider Jamie Mott was of the view his mount may have come to the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Trainer John McArdle confirmed the colt would be spelled after todays run, regardless of the result. Indernile - raced wide without cover. Seized - rider Ben Allen stated that the colt may not have handled the shifting track conditions and may be better suited racing outside of other runners. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. The track was upgraded from Soft 5 to Good 4 at 2.43pm after the running of this race. Race 6 - Next Payments Handicap - 1200 metres: Widgee Turf - slow to begin. When making ground over the concluding stages was unable to be fully tested and was not ridden out to the line. Hollywoodgirl - slow to begin. Katsuro - began awkwardly. Near the 150m was accidentally struck over the head by the whip of Ben Thompson (Bord De Gain). Valliano - began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with Extra Olives. Extra Olives - bumped at the start. Fifth placegetter; rider Mitch Aitken pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride his mount out for the final strides of the race. Mitch Aitken was fined $750 and in assessing penalty Stewards took into account his recent record.

Liberty Song - had to be steadied near the 600m when Bord De Gain shifted in. Fourth placegetter; rider Chelsea Hall was fined $300 under the provisions of AR137(b) for failing to ride the colt out fully to the winning post. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account her mount had a tendency to lay in. Terindah - had to be steadied near the 300m to avoid the heels of Liberty Song which shifted out marginally. Artie Dee Two - got its head up when being restrained passing the 1000m when endeavouring to avoid the heels of Capannello which was shifting in. Stable representative Darren Murphy confirmed that the colt was scratched from a Caulfield meeting on April 8 th due to an elevated temperature but was presented fit to race here today. Rider Ben Allen was of the opinion that the five week break between runs contributed to the disappointing performance today as he felt the horse raced fresh. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Leotie - held up rounding the home turn (400m) and near the 200m when laying in steadied away from the heels of Valliano then continued to lay in for the remainder of the event. Capannello - rider Brandon Stockdale was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when shifting in passing the 1000m when not quite fully clear of Artie Dee Two. Race 7 - L U Simon Builders Handicap - 1100 metres: Aunty Mo - connections advised would be ridden with cover; settled third. Pink Perfection - raced wide without cover. Miss Vista - $2.50 beaten favourite; rider Linda Meech stated that her mount did not settle in the early and middle stages and had a tendency to wander when placed under pressure in the home straight. Estaminet - rider Beau Mertens felt there was something amiss with the mares action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 8 - Thoroughbred Club 50th Year in 2018 Stakes (Listed) - 1440 metres: Dan Zephyr - when apprentice Jack Martin became indisposed, Stewards acceded to a request from trainer Pat Carey to replace him with senior rider Michael Dee as it was a nonclaiming race. Raced wide without cover for the majority. Eximius - began awkwardly and lost ground. Star Exhibit - slow to begin.

Heart Starter - when being restrained after the start, got its head up and raced erratically and refused to settle through the early and middle stages. Zebulon (NZ) - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up between the 500m and the 400m. Whistle Baby - held up rounding the home turn and until passing the 200m before shifting out over the heels of Charmed Harmony to obtain clear running. Race 9 - Treasury Wine Estates Handicap - 1600 metres: Nevis (IRE) - became fractious after being loaded in its starting stall, underwent a veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race. Connections advised would be ridden more positively; led. Loving Home (GB) - connections advised would be ridden further back from the wide draw; restrained from the start to race at the rear of the field and settled last. Fastnet Latina (IRE) - bumped at the start by Rhythm To Spare (NZ) which shifted out. Rhythm To Spare (NZ) - bumped at the start. The Chairman - slow to begin. Lord Durante - raced wide without cover. Rider Ben Thompson lost the use of his near side rein over the final 100m. Rhythm To Spare (NZ) - held up from the 500m until approaching the 200m before shifting back to the inside of Nevis (IRE) to obtain clear running. Petrology - held up from the 500m and near the 100m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Onpicalo before shifting in to obtain clear running. Bradman - rider Beau Mertens stated his mount pulled hard and would be better suited over 1400m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
