I would like to welcome everyone to SPRING which is now in full bloom and temperatures are rising. This can only mean 1 thing: Tour de Fort bike rides are back! By the time this comes out we will have had 1 ride so far on April 30th. If you haven't heard of this ride it was at New Haven trail head at 10:22 am. I have had lots of riders ask for a schedule of rides sooooo here are the next 6 rides: May 21 at 10:22 am at Sweeney Park..., June 21st at 6:05 pm at Y.M.C.A. north for a evening ride..., June 25th at 10:22 am at the New Haven trail head..., July 16th at 10:22 am at IPFW..., and July 26th at 6:05 pm at Shoaff Park for another evening ride. There ya go; now there is no reason to miss any of these fun rides. Again these rides are for all levels of riders. If you have any questions feel free to call me, Michael, at 260-657-3424. If you need a bike call me as well. Some of us have extra bikes if you want to try a ride without committing to buying a bike. Everybody come and enjoy these ride as we eat and drink as well as riding bikes. Well the election is over and I want to thank all those members who stepped up to keep this club running smoothly. These volunteers don't do it for recognition; they do it for the sake of the club. Please show them your thanks, a shake of the hand, or buy them a drink or lunch for they all deserve it. Well everybody enjoy spring and please contact me if you have any ideas for future parties or bike rides. Please read all of the mogul to find more information on club events. And remember always bring a friend to the bike rides and parties!! pres. Michael FROM THE EDITOR S DESK Looking forward to all the summer activities. Be sure to invite your friends. Remember, keep your skis between you and the slope: otherwise it can hurt! 2

We start hitting the little fuzzy yellow ball around the court on May 17, so if you want to join us, contact Dave Billian @ 485-9527 or SkiClubFW@aol.com Again this year we are playing individually, but with a partner that changes each 8 games. The night s high game winner moves up a court and the low point player moves down the next week. It will be both social and competitive for all abilities. Again this year there is NO COST for Ski Club members (or summer membership $8). We only ask that you bring a new can of tennis balls every 4th time you play. We will play 24 nights, weather permitting, every Wednesday 8PM through October 25 at Kreager & Swinney Parks. Jump in and out as you please; just let me know. Rules are posted on fwsc.org. The second Tour de Fort of 2017 is scheduled for May 21. Meet at 10:22 at Swinney Park and ride west Please come and ride with us, all levels of riding Any questions or for details, call or text: Michael Ehle, 260-657-3424 Next ride is June 21. This will be an evening ride. Details will be sent later. 3

The annual Founders Day Race was held January 22 at Boyne Highlands, MI and once again the best area downhill racers competed for the glory of City Champion! 29 hearty racers displayed their racing skills on a course that was fast, technical, and fun. We applaud all the competitors in this event; our Founders would be proud to see their legacy lives on. We encourage all members of the FWSC to get involved with competition. It will make you a better skier, confident, and you will have more fun when you go fast, turn and stop when you want, at any speed. Below are the results from the Founders Day Race. I want to thank all that attended the CMSC trip this year. We had a wonderful time. I do believe that everyone had fun. Beaver Creek was a fabulous place to ski; Rooms were nice and weather was awesome (blue bird sky). We even skied Vail after a 12 snowfall the night before. I believe next year they are going to Steamboat; this should be another great trip. PS Kathy got a Gold medal and got 2 nd overall in the race and if the pic below and those on page 7 are any indication, a wonderful time was had by all!! 6
