Georey Poole Georey Poole was born in England and has lived in East Arica, and in the USA as Visiting Fellow in Comosition at Princeton. He studied traditional erormance in Korea and Gambia. Poole taught at Manchester University (196 2000), as Proessor o Comosition at Bristol University (2000 2009), and is a Fellow o the Royal Society o Arts. His works include Sailing with Archangels or wind orchestra, commissions or the Lindsay Quartet, the BBC Singers and the Hallé Orchestra, the concertos Swans Rel ecting Elehants or Javanese Gamelan and chamber orchestra, and Lucier or iano and 21 loud instruments. He has also written several works or children. Georey Poole stammt aus England und lebte zeitweise in Ostarika sowie in den USA, wo er in Princeton Gastdozent ür Komosition war. In Korea und Gambia beschätigte er sich mit traditionellen Auührungsweisen. Poole lehrte an der Universität Manchester (196 2000) und als Proessor ür Komosition an der Universität Bristol (2000 2009). Daneben ist er Fellow der Royal Society o the Arts. Zu seinen Werken zählen Sailing with Archangels ür Blasorchester sowie die Konzerte Swans Rel ecting Elehants (ür javanisches Gamelanensemble und Kammerorchester) und Lucier (ür Klavier und 21 laute Instrumente). Er erhielt Komositionsauträge vom Lindsay Quartet, von den BBC Singers und vom Hallé Orchestra.
