It always sneaks up every year, but hope each and every one of you can bring a piece or two. We have some unbelievable talent in this state, and I love to see all of your skills show cased each year. I have learned so much from my peers over the years and want to say thanks to each who have mentored and helped me get to where I am today. The show is right around the corner! The weather should be beautiful in Taos and we are all looking forward to getting together again. Please encourage your neighboring studios and friends to get their raffle tickets sold. We have about a month of good sales left. If anyone needs more, please advise, and I will arrange it. Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard this year to make this show possible. It is a lot of work getting things ready each year, but so many work so hard, and it always comes together great! See you soon!! 2 NMTA NEWSLETTER A Director s Message GO TO OUR WEBSITE: www.nmtaxidermy.org Hello Fellow Members, Our 2015-NMTA Convention is quickly approaching and we have a great line-up of vendors setting up supply booths at our show this year including Jet's Taxidermy Supply, Tru-fitt Supply, and T-Basix. The suppliers attending our convention travel a long way to get to our convention site and their participation not only helps to make our show a success, but they can save you money $$ on shipping charges as well. Our raffle sales and the silent and live auction sales are the main means by which the NMTA raises the funds required to provide the awesome seminars and convention events for the members. Therefore, I want to remind members to try and solicit donation items that can be used for our silent and live auctions such as taxidermy supplies and forms, men's and ladies clothing items, jewelry, children's items, hunting and fishing items, art work, services, etc. Nothing is too big or too small! Lastly, I want to encourage all members to attend the convention, enter your mounts, come learn from your peers and see what's new in the taxidermy industry. Bring your family and come have some fun with us in Taos, N.M. I promise you'll have a great time! Hope to see you there.
