Club Corner Archery For youth ages 9-18 Archery will practice on Wednesday August 12 th at 3:30 at the Cooperative Extension archery range. Budding Chefs We will take a break from our regular club meeting during July and August. Our next meeting will be on September 22nd Chefs R Us Chefs make sure you are cooking this summer for your friends and families. We will take a break from our regular club meeting during July and August. Our next meeting will be on September 23 rd. 4-H Chess Club Chess Club will meet on Monday August 31 st at 3:30. This club has been opened up to all age groups who want to learn how to play Chess. For more information, contact Tamara Cool Crafty Kids Craft Kids will take the months of July and August off our next meeting will be on September 24 th. Are you crafty and creative? What fun crafts are you doing this summer? Macon Hoofprints 4-H Club Hoofprints will meet on Saturday August 8 th at 9:00 for a fun ride at the arena. We will ride and play horseback games. Please let us know if you plan to come and participate on the 8 th by calling 349-2046 or emailing Tammara at tammara _cole@ncsu.edu. The Needlers 4-H Club The Needlers will take July and August off. We will meet back on September 8 th. Macon 4-H Sharp Shooters For youth ages 9-18 The next Sharpshooters meeting will be 7:00-8:30 PM, Tuesday, August 25 th. We will have a regular meeting and then shoot. This club is for youth ages 9-18. Pellet rifles are available or if you have your own pellet rifle, then you are welcome to bring it. 4-Leaf Clover Kids with Heart We will take the summer off for June, July and August. Please take advantage of fun Cloverbud activities during Summer Relief. EPICS Youth Council For Ages 13-18 EPICS will have our regular meeting on Monday August 10 th at 6:30. 4-H Market Lamb Club Our August practices will be on August 11 th and August 25 th at 6:30pm at the fair grounds. Parents, please let us know if you would be willing to help weed-eat around the lamb barn. 4-H Poultry Club Poultry Club it is time to prepare our posters for the Macon County Fair. We will meet on Tuesday August 18 th at 5:30. Please bring pictures or a jump drive with pictures that you would like to put on your poster board. Jr Gardening Club In July, the Jr. Gardeners toured the Environmental Resource Center gardens and enjoyed a wide array of plants and flowers. We will meet on Saturday August 8 th at 2:00pm at the Cooperative Extension Office. Need to Know Info Learn How to Write in Proper Cursive Cursive is becoming a lost art. Youth that do not learn proper cursive are in danger of being unable to read many important documents, letters and parts of their own past and our history. Mrs. Marion Maynard is offering a class to form letters, words and sentences in order to write and read in cursive. The class will be on August 10 th, 11 th, 12 th and 13 th from 2:00 4:00. Please call for more information or to sign up. Regional 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament The West Region Shooting Tournament to be held on August 22nd at the Polk County Gun Club. You are welcome to come and support our shooters. We are also looking for volunteers to score and help with shooting events.
