Special thanks to Mike & Joy Jennett and their family members that have been dedicated to making this day so special for hundreds of children. Heritage day has become a signature event of our club and a day that the majority of our members really participate in supporting all that we have created here at Huron Pointe. Please read this newsletter for information on all the upcoming events and activities scheduled at our club in the coming months. We have a number of fundraisers that benefit some worthy causes and reserve Saturday October 8th to enjoy our annual Fall Fest, (previously called the Pig Roast/Hayride), for members their family & friends. Page 4 Activity News Huron Pointe has an opportunity to bring in some extra money with our members participation Michigan Outdoor News is offering us a$5.00 reward for anyone that submits a new or renewal subscription. Outdoor News reports hunting, fishing and conservation stories in Michigan. A yearly subscription costs $22.00 for 26 issues. You must use the forms provided that already have H.P.S.A. s information on them and they need to be received by September 26,2016. Program As the 2016 Competition year is coming to a close and the 2017 is about to begin (Sept. 1st, 2016), we wish to Thank everyone that helped to make this a successful year. We had many new shooters and returning experienced shooters score new personal best scores and learn from the days things didn t go quite so well. Congratulations to all the award winners and may next year see more happy days than sad. If it weren t for our donors and staff we could not make it happen. To the people who show up every week ( Coaches, Shooters, and Families). The members of both Huron Pointe and Gilbert s Gun Club that recommend the program to youth looking for a place to shoot. Tasks include: Setting up cords and microphones for Trap and Skeet, collecting Fees for Trap/ Skeet and and Archery, filling the Trap and Skeet house, shutting down the sporting clays course at the end of the day, greeting guests and members as they enter the club, answering the phone.
