Today is B Day Chocolate and Candy, Yummy!!! Girls Basketball Team: You Rock Stout Middle School Girls Basketball team did the trick again. This time it was against Unis. Stout girls won easily by a score of 44 to 05. Girls You Rock!!! Bake / Popcorn Sale: Today We are planning Bake / popcorn sale this Friday, Oct. 30 th during lunch. Volunteers are needed to help sell and/or bake. Parents can drop off goodies to school office, marked for Bake Sale before 9:30am. Boys' Basketball tryouts What: 7th grade tryouts for boys' basketball Day: Friday, November 13 th Time: From 3:00-4:55 pm. What: 8th grade tryouts for boys' basketball When: Wednesday, November 18 th Time: From 3:00-4:55 pm. You will need to be dressed in gym clothes and gym shoes. Coach Haddad Be1 Club Meeting: Wednesday, November 4th Calling all Stout Falcons! Our first Be1 Club Meeting will be held in Room D-2 at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4th. The Be1 Club is Stout s Antibullying club which aims to shut down bullying. Old and new members are welcome. Bullying Behavior Survey Deadline: Today Your teacher will be giving you a Bullying Behavior Survey. It is very important to fill it out and return it to your A/A class. The more we know about bullying, the better we can prevent it. The surveys must be returned to the office today, Friday, October 30th. Remember: Bullying is not cool! Games Club Meeting: Fridays The Games Club will meet every Friday in room D- 4, from 2:55 to 4:55. Students must have a permission slip filled out. The slips are outside Mr. Melvin s classroom. After-School Computers &Tutoring: Wednesdays After-School Computers & Tutoring will resume with Mr. Vietinghoff in Room F7 on Wednesday, November 4 th from 3:00-4:50 p.m. All students are welcome. 2

Dress Appropriately for Halloween Any costumes MAY NOT interfere with the learning process or the teaching in the classroom. The following rules must be followed: No Plastic weapons of any kind No Masks No Make-up No Costumes that are revealing No extreme length of the fingertips Nothing offensive Nothing distracting No blood. Any violators will be sent home. Teachers Professional Development Day: Tuesday, Nov. 3rd Tuesday, Nov. 3 rd is the Teachers Professional Day. What does that mean? For students: NO SCHOOL. For teachers: MORE WORK. THAT IS NOT FAIR!!! Activity Day: Wednesday, Nov. 4th Event: Activity Day Date: Wednesday, November 4th Time: 3:00-4:30. Admission: $1.00 Activities include concessions, swimming, basketball, volleyball, karaoke and ping pong. No busses, so you must arrange for your own ride home. 5th Annual City-wide Response to Bullying Extravaganza Event: 5th Annual City-wide Response to Bullying Extravaganza When: 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015 Where: Michael A. There will be a music student coming to each class during AA to explain a fundraising raffle for our music program. Please give them a couple of minutes to explain the raffle and prizes. Please place the flyer they ll give you in your room for the next week. Student of the Month Nominations We are looking for 6 th and 7 th grade students who demonstrate all core values of Dearborn Public Schools, and would like to recognize some of the awesome students here at Stout.
