Even if you are running alone, you will find other runners and camaraderie unique to the trails in Israel. From paved paths to off road fun, the best way to truly appreciate a city, town, or landscape is through your feet! Leave your sweat mark everywhere you go with these recommended runs all throughout Israel. 1. Tel Aviv s Promenade and Park Hayarkon: Starting along the Mediterranean Sea and stretching all the way to the Yarkon River Park and beyond, this path stretches on for miles, and the view only gets better as you go. You can run all the way from the southern border of Jaffa city, and continue along the sea on Tel Aviv s beautiful promenade. After running through the lively Tel Aviv port, you will reach Park Hayarkon, where the running and biking paths continue along the Yarkon River, which still flows in most parts of the park. At the Yarkon Park you have a choice to run along the paved paths or the off road paths parallel to them. The scenery goes from blue sea to green trees and grass, and the paths continue on all the way to the northern tip of Tel Aviv and well as to the east, with wilder nature around you. This run is truly a scenic and lively way to start the day. The view of the Tel Aviv Jaffa promenade from Jaffa city towards Tel Aviv

With gorgeous desert views in all directions, this is an immensely peaceful run. You may even have the pleasure of running into a group from the IDF Officer Training School who also enjoy their morning runs along the crater s cliff. It is highly recommended to run either early enough to catch the beautiful colors of the morning sky or during the twilight to catch the colors of the sunset around Truly an amazing way to start or end the day! You will find a few well marked paths, many of which can be made into a nice loop or out and back depending on how far you want to go. The sea will be by your side for the whole duration of the run. This is a perfect run for sunrise or sunset, offering some of the most beautiful views of the open sea and the vibrant sky.
