T h r e e R i v e r s S e c t i o n / M B C A The Three Rivers Road Report September, 2016 Volume 4; Issue 9 Dinner, Dixie & Ski Bees By Jason Bogart One of the members of the Ski Bees wows the crowd by taking off, barefoot, from the top deck of the Dixie. Dinner, Dixie & Ski Bees was a exciting & relaxing event. Ten Mercedes set out for a piece of heaven, only a 45 minute drive to Webster Lake. The evening was kicked off with dinner on the dock. As Members finished their dinners they were treated to an exciting and thrilling water ski show put on by the North Webster Ski Bees. After all that excitement it was time to relax. Twenty Members purchased tickets to board the Dixie Boat, Indiana's oldest stern wheel excursion boat. The Dixie was built in 1929 and is registered as a national landmark. The Dixie makes it's way around Webster Lake for a 70 minute trip, sharing the Dixie's history and some legends of Webster Lake. It was a perfect Saturday night!

STARFEST 2016 Ten Three Rivers members attended our breakfast meeting to go over upcoming events. Member Ken was showing us his moves with his umbrella. Section President Julie Bruggner traveled to Uncasville, Connecticut to join members from across the country in various events at StarFest from August 3-6. As she, and about 30 other drivers, concentrated on the 3 days of driving events, many other members visited a winery, enjoyed a boat cruise, or found their way around the area participating in a road rally. Some came solely for the Concours and banquet on the final day. However, with trophies for the Autocross, the Acceleration Run, and Time Trials on the Thompson Speedway track, she s pretty happy with how she spent her time there.
