THE RULES The rules are almost the same as the rules we know so well in the games played at Hogwarts, please see below to refresh your memory- -Seeker: The seeker must chase and catch the snitch to score points and end the game. To catch the snitch, the seeker must remove the tag from the snitch s belt. -Chasers: The chasers main aim is to score goals with the quaffle. This is done by throwing or kicking the ball into the goal hoops. -Beaters: The beaters use the bludgers to disrupt other players game play by hitting them with the ball offer -Keeper: The keeper guards the hoops from opposing team chasers Red and yellow cards will be given for any foul play in the game. Quidditch is a contact sport that is similar to a mixture of sports that we all know. This includes rugby, dodgeball, basketball and tag. THE EQUIPMENT The balls used in Muggle Quidditch are the same as the balls used by the students at Hogwarts, just a little less feisty. Well, that depends on the opposing team. The Snitch -worth 30 points when caught The snitch will be a runner who will run around the pitch and try not to get caught by the seekers. They will be wearing a belt with 1 tag on, they are caught when the tag has been removed from their belt by a seeker. The Quaffle - worth 10 points. This ball is used to score goals by throwing or kicking the ball into the hoops. Only the keepers and chasers are allowed to use the ball. Chasers are also allowed to use the quaffle to block any incoming bludgers The Bludger - No points can be scored with this ball. These balls are used by beaters to set other players back. When a player is hit by a bludger they must drop the ball they may be holding, then head back to their side of the pitch and touch their goal post before being able to return to game play. You will be expected to ride on broomsticks, it adds to the event and makes it much more fun! Call our events team on 020 3325 1553 or email info@dreamteambuilding.co.uk 05
THE DAY The day will begin with everyone being split into teams ready for their games. The more people that are booked for this event the more teams that were will be. If there are more than 6 teams we are able to set up a tournament event. Once split into teams everyone will be briefed on how to play and will need to decide which position they would like to play. Headbands or bibs will be provided to differentiate team players. As an optional extra we are able to provide costumes to add to the feel of the game (who doesn t want to wear a robe while playing quidditch right?) Once the games have ended and we have tallied the scores we are able to offer lunch or nibbles as an optional extra. (You may bring your own food if you wish) You don t have to just play Quidditch on the day, why not add a game of Archery Tag to end the day?!
