Indian Pride Volume 8. Issue 22 February 2nd, 2018 Minooka Intermediate School Newsletter Inside this Issue: Family Learning Night Family Learning Night Indian PRIDE Arrow Winners/ Staff Celebrations PTO News Early Learning Screenings MIS Sports Page This year, Minooka Intermediate School will host their tenth annual Family Learning Night. In honor of its twentieth anniversary of J.K. Rowling s Harry Potter books, this year s theme will be Harry Potter! Muggles, witches, and wizards are invited to attend the event on Thursday, March 1st from 5:30-7:30 p.m. At the event, families will be able to participate in a number of interactive activities. Kids of all ages will pass through Platform 9 ¾ and venture to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Here, witches and wizards will be sorted into one of the four Hogwarts Houses. While at Hogwarts, students will find their perfect wand and put them to use as they learn spells and enchantments. During your night, be sure to head over to potions to see if you can make the perfect Polyjuice Potion. Do you have a green thumb? Maybe Herbology will be your favorite class. Also, don t forget to stop by the Quidditch Pitch to see if you have what it takes to make the team. If you are in need of a tasty treat, Minooka Intermediate School P.T.O. will be providing concessions for families to purchase. In order to raise money for this event, students at MIS will have the opportunity to send a friend a Valentine s candy gram for $1.00. Candy grams will be available for students to purchase during their lunch. Student Council will be running the sale s table from Monday, February 5th until Thursday, February 8th. Candy grams will be delivered on Wednesday, February 14th. If you are looking for some fun, please stop by Minooka Intermediate School on March 1st from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for Harry Potter Night. We hope to see you there!
