The Fiddle Group Workshops are going strong. We have developed five (5) playlists three (3) lists of general songs, one (1) Patriotic songs & one (1) Christmas songs. This has allowed us to plan more efficiently & save time with practicing. It has been especially useful when we are part of a local parade. I forgot, some of you may not be aware that we have a float that was refurbished, is stored & managed for us by our esteemed Membership Secretary. A job well done Mr. Rayburn McDonald. The Sunday Jams have been a little slow of late & I hope it isn t because any of you are sick but that you are out having adventures & making music. Elections are upon us & we need all of you to vote (ballots are enclosed) & either return the enclosed ballots via mail or in person at the October Jam (October 22nd). We also need some people to step up to the plate. For 2018 we need the following: State Director; a two (2) year term & requires that you attend 2 meetings a year (usually in Sacramento) & work with the Championship Chair Person. Editor; a one (1) year term & requires the person to produce a newsletter that is dispersed to the membership via the website (to the members having email) & via snail mail (to the members without email). Coming up in 2019 we need some people to replace several of our officers. Please give this some consideration since NO OFFICERS means that the organization may have to disband. Please it is usually a once a month commitment other than during the Championships. We are having a Membership drive (see the details on page 5) hope you all participate. REMEMBER [MORE PEOPLE]=[LESS WORK]=[MORE MUSIC/FUN]. THAT S THE FORMULA! Memories Fiddle Group Workshop Info. 4 Calendar Lending Library Let s keep making music.
