TULSA STATE FAIR 3 YEAR OLD PERFORMANCE FUTURITY Specifications: Classes will run in accordance with USEF rules under the Junior Horse Division guidelines. Horses must be registered with AHA and 3 years of age. Appropriate tack and attire for each division required. Martingales are allowed in Country/English classes. GENERAL RULES FOR PUREBRED AND HALF-ARABIAN SHOW Tulsa State Fair Horse Division General Rules, General Rules and Regulations, Livestock Health Regulations, and gate hours for horses entering the facility may be found at http://tulsastatefair.com/ or www.gcaha.org We encourage everybody to read the Tulsa State Fair rules. This horse show is an AHA Value show, but is conducted in accordance with the Rules of the United States Equestrian Federation, Arabian Horse Division. The official Rule Book of United States Equestrian Federation will prevail for this show. This premium list is based on the rules of the current Rule Book. Any changes or corrections of rules will automatically become a part of this premium list. Each participant in the show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the United States Equestrian Federation Rules. The Show Committee shall decide questions not covered by United States Equestrian Federation rules and its decisions will be final. This show is co-sponsored by the Tulsa State Fair and the Green Country Arabian Horse Association. The Tulsa State Fair will not accept any entry unless the required fees and photocopies of registration papers accompany it. Omission of requested information, incorrect information, or insufficient checks will result in the entry being disqualified. Photocopies required to be sent with entries: Horse s Registration Certification: both sides. Horses one year of age or younger: Proof of pending registration and registration must be applied for. You must either send the registration papers or verification from AHA that registration has been applied for. This will be checked. Proof of Ownership (if applicable): In the case of a sale or lease, it is required that a copy of the sale contract or lease, or statement from the owner be submitted with the copy of the current registration certificate. AHA Membership cards (owner, trainer, rider, driver & handler) Copies of your actual current AHA membership cards are required or single event fees will be charged. If you do not have proof of current AHA membership you must pay the AHA single event member fee. Exhibitors showing in Amateur Owner classes must be listed as an owner of the horse on the registration papers of the horse they are exhibiting and must have a Competition card. Any entry that does not contain the items listed above will be assessed a $25 Incomplete Entry Fee. AHA Requirements: A.) All exhibitors entered in this event must be a current AHA member, join AHA at the show, or pay a Single Event Membership fee of $35.00 per person. This includes any owner, trainer, driver, rider, or halter handler who exhibits horses in the show ring or signs the entry form as the responsible person for any individual s horse. A photocopy of your AHA membership card must accompany your entry. B.) You must pay the single event Member fee if you do not provide a copy of your AHA card. C.) There is an AHA mandatory $10.00 per horse fee: ($5.00-AHA judges commission and education/evaluation, Resolution 9-90 and $5.00 for AHA Results Processing). D.) Walk-trot and Leadline riders are exempt from AHA non-member fees. AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT: EACH COMPETITOR (THIS INCLUDES AT LEAST ONE RECORDED OWNER AND ALL TRAINERS, DRIVERS, RIDERS, HALTER HANDLERS, COACHES AND THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE ENTRY BLANK) IN AN ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED ARABIAN DIVISION, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY INTO A COMPETITION, MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF A VALID AHA MEMBERSHIP/COMPETITION CARD, JOIN AHA OR PAY AN AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP FEE PER COMPETITOR. Arenas: Ford Truck Arena is 150 x 225. Mustang Arena is 240 x 135. Warm-up arena is 100 by 200. All arena footing is sandy loam and clay. Arrival: Please refer to Tulsa State Fair Horse Division Rules. Stalls are locked until arrival. Barn manager is Tony Reid 314-719-6447. AHA Medal classes: If a class does not fill, that is if the class does not have at least THREE competitors with proper appointments, the class will be held as a regular equitation class with pattern. No medal will be awarded if the class is conducted as a regular Equitation Class. Awards: Tulsa State Fair will furnish grand and reserve champion mare, gelding and stallion awards and class ribbons, 1 st through 6 th. GCAHA Stallion Service provides Tulsa State Fair Futurity ribbons. Bad Checks: There will be a $25.00 handling fee charged for any returned checks. Action in accordance with USEF rules will be taken against any owner, exhibitor or trainer who does not make a returned check good and will be reported. Bedding: Exhibitor to furnish own. Feed and bedding may be purchased in the designated area in the Explorer Barn (C). Breeding/Gelding in-hand classes will use the In the Ring Class Procedure and judging will be Comparative. Calls for Classes: Classes will be called promptly. Two minutes will be allowed after the first horse in the class enters the ring, after which time the gate will be closed. **NOTE** Due to unforeseeable problems with the mechanical device, the paddock and barn calls over the PA system must be considered a COURTESY. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be sure that his/her horse is at the gate at the prescribed time. While every effort will be made to maintain a working PA system to carry the class calls, no protest will be upheld nor will any section be changed on the basis of a PA malfunction. Cancellation of classes due to emergencies: In the event that a class, or a series of classes, or all or part of the competition is cancelled due to an accident, storm, or other emergency after the start of the show (defined as initial Move-In Day), no refund of entry fees will be made. Class Specifications: This show is conducted in accordance with the rules of the Arabian Horse Association. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. Concessions are available on the grounds. Entries: All entries must be made on the official entry blank for this show and filled out entirely. A horse must be entered in the name of his registered owner(s) only and must be entered under its full registered name. A photocopy of all AHA membership cards, competition cards and registration papers must accompany your entry form. All entries must be accompanied by a valid check or money order for the full amount of all fees made out to GCAHA. A signature is required by the parent if a minor is showing. Any entry missing the items stated above will be charged a $25 Incomplete Entry Fee per horse. Entry Deadline: Entries must be postmarked by 9/2/19. This is set by the Tulsa State Fair. Entries that were not postmarked by 9/2/19 can enter until 9/7/19 with a $30.00 per horse entry extension fee. This is set by the Tulsa State Fair. After 9/7/19, a $60 entry extension will be charged. Feed & Bedding: Pete s Feed - Pete Wedelin 918-630-1306. If arriving after hours and you need shavings, please contact Pete s Feed ahead of time. Health regulations: Must be accompanied by an official health certificate or, Equine Passport, showing age, breed, sex and markings to positively identify animals, including all vaccinations, date and results of required tests. All equine must be tested negative for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) within twelve (12) months prior to exhibition. Foals less than six (6) months of age accompanied by their negative tested dam are exempt from test requirements. The date and results of the test must be clearly shown on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Health papers will be checked before unloading. Health certificate must be dated within 30 days prior to arrival in Tulsa. This applies to both in-state and out-of-state horses. Judges: This show will be judged according to the single judge system. In the event that an official is unable to perform his duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute an official. It is a violation of AHA Rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging and any exhibitor may be barred from the show for this offense by the Show Committee. No contact shall be made 5

with the Judges during the period of the show unless accompanied by a member of the Show Committee designated by the committee for such purpose. Further, no exhibitor shall approach a Judge without the permission of the Show Manager. Junior Classes: An individual who has not reached his or her 19th birthday as of December 1st of the current competition year. The age of an individual on December 1st will be maintained throughout the entire competition. Late Entries: Entries postmarked after 9/7/19 or additional animals added to entries previously received, may do so at $60.00 per head in addition to regular head and class fees if stalls are available. The Tulsa State Fair sets this. Leadline: Open to riders who are at least two years of age and have not reached their seventh birthday as of December 1, 2018. Rider is exempt from AHA membership requirements. Limited Reined Cow Horse ATR: are for amateur and junior riders who cannot have shown down the fence 3 actual runs in any judged classes or events with the exception of horse sales. Being entered in a class that includes the fence work will be counted as going down the fence regardless if the rider boxed the cow and pulled up before the run was completed. For rules governing Reined Cow Horse and Limited Reined Cow Horse classes, see Western Division Subchapter WS-2. Option Classes: Option classes can be any class on the AHA standard class that our show does not offer except working hunter, dressage, jumper, western dressage, herd work, and cutting. Option classes may be purchased for $25 plus the class entry fee and payment must be sent in at the time of the request. The classes are available on a first come basis. No individual or barn may request more than two classes unless the slots have not been filled by September 2 nd. All Option classes must be designated by the entry closing date so they can be posted in the class schedule in order for other exhibitors to be aware of the class. Post Entries: For horses already entered in the show, post entries will be accepted if made at least one hour prior to the beginning of the session in which the class is to be held. There will be a $5.00 per class post entry charge. Prize list changes and/or corrections: Changes and/or corrections to the Premium, if any, will be posted on the Club s website, www.gcaha.com. Prize money: Will be paid by the Tulsa State Fair within 30 days of the end of the Fair. This includes all Futurity payouts. Scratched classes: Entry fee will not be refunded. Show Accounts: Any exhibitor wishing to start a tab at the Show Office will be required to leave a signed check when they pick up their packet. Show office hours: Show office will open Friday, September 20 th at 1 PM. Show office will open Saturday and Sunday at 7 AM. The show office will remain open throughout the show. It will close 30 minutes after Saturday s final session and 30 minutes after the end of the show Sunday. Stallions: are not allowed in showmanship or walk-trot classes. Stalls: Stalls are 10 X 10 and are on asphalt floors with a door. Stalls and alleyways must be kept clean. Substitutions: Substitutions of animals will be accepted until noon the day preceding the show for $15.00. Change in ownership is not a substitution. 17 AHA ENTRY AGREEMENT I have read the rules concerning competitions as printed in the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) Handbook / Directory and Competition Prize List and agree to be bound by and subject to those Rules. AHA ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION This document waives very important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. In consideration for AHA permitting me to participate in this Competition, and by signing the entry blank, I agree as follows: I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in this Competition, as a rider, driver, handler, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, junior exhibitor, or as a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I AM FULLY AWARE AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HORSE SPORTS AND PARTICIPATION IN THIS COMPETITION INVOLVE SERIOUS RISK OF HARM INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RISKS OF ACCIDENT, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, BROKEN BONES, HEAD INJURIES, TRAUMA, PAIN, AND SUFFERING, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. I AGREE and represent that I am qualified and eligible to enter and/or participate in the Competition, and every horse I am entering is qualified and eligible as entered. I AGREE to accept AS FINAL any decision of AHA, the Show Commission or Show Officials concerning my qualification or the qualification of my horse to enter the Competition or any results of the Competition, except to the extent that the Rules of AHA, the Competition, CEF or USA Equestrian permit a protest or hearing of such decisions. Should a hearing be requested, I agree to accept AS FINAL the decision of the particular hearing body. I agree to release, hold harmless and not to sue AHA, the Competition Sponsor, their officers, directors, employees, volunteers or members concerning any decision of AHA, the Competition, its Show Commission, Show Officials or any hearing body that relates to my qualifications or my horse(s) qualifications to enter the Competition or any results of the Competition. I AGREE that AHA has the sole right to control, sell, supervise or give away (or assign to others the right to do so) the exclusive rights to broadcast, televise, reproduce, transmit and disseminate all or part of this event, and I agree that AHA may use or assign, in any way AHA sees fit, photographs, films, videos, audios, cablecasts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the Competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the Competition or AHA. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way which implies endorsement of any company, product, product category or service. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. By signing below as a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and agree to all of the above provisions, and further agree to assume all of the obligations of this AHA Assumption of Risk, Release and Indemnification personally and on behalf of the child. This AHA Assumption of Risk, Release and Indemnification is governed by the Laws of the State of Colorado and is intended to be interpreted as broadly as possible. I agree that exclusive jurisdiction and venue (place) for any legal action against AHA, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers or agents shall be in the local district courts or the federal court of the State of Colorado. If any part of this agreement is determined to be unenforceable, all other parts shall remain effect. (the Federation ) and the local rules of this Competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition.
