The Pygmy Stampede April 2, 2016 Windmill Lakes Event Center 7377 Overman Rd. Liberty, NC 2 Full Shows on Saturday including Showmanship (first show only), Wethers, NPGA Does and NPGA Bucks, Master Champion classes and classes for unregistered does and bucks. The North Carolina Pygmy Goat Club would like to invite you to the Pygmy Stampede show at The Windmill Lakes Event Center in Liberty, NC on April 2, 2016. We are excited to offer NPGA Sanctioned classes as well as unregistered classes for those that would like to participate. We welcome spectators as well as exhibitors to join with us in the show. This will be a one day show with both shows on Saturday. Pens will be provided. SCHEDULE We will begin with show #1 at 9 AM with Fran Bishop judging. The order of the first show will be SHOWMANSHIP, WETHERS, UNREGISTERED DOES, NPGA DOES (with Doe Master Champion Challenge class), UNREGISTERED BUCKS and then NPGA BUCKS (with Buck Master Champion Challenge class). There will be a buffet lunch available for a donation of $7.00. The second show, with Ashlee Gerner- Kay judging, will follow the first, in the same order, beginning with WETHERS. There will be a short club meeting during lunch. Per NPGA show rules, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to make sure that their animals are entered in the correct classes. Please do not send in entry forms without class numbers listed for your goats. Any NPGA animal over 6 months of age must be tattooed or microchipped prior being shown in a sanctioned NPGA class or wether class according to NPGA show rules. All goats entered in the NPGA sanctioned classes must be accompanied by their NPGA registration certificates. Registered wethers should also have their registration certificates accompanying them. Unregistered wethers can be shown in the wether classes. Unregistered does and bucks may only show in their respective unregistered conformation classes. Goats bearing the judge s herdname may not be shown under that judge. ENTRIES Entry fees are $8.00 per goat/per class payable to NCPGC. (No charge for showmanship.) Entry deadline to be included in the showbook is March 29, 2016. Substitutions and late entries will not be included in the printed program. Age computation for classes is based on the age of the goat on the date of the show. PENS Pens will be provided for this show at $8.00 each. They are approximately 4 x 8 feet. There are separate buck and doe/wether sections. Please indicate how many of each type pen you will need. If you are planning to come, even if you are just thinking of coming, we, at least, need your pen requirements by March 28. CHECK IN and ARRIVAL TIME Check- in and arrival may begin Friday April 1 after 2 PM. Friday check in from 3-5 PM. Saturday check in from 7:30 to 9 AM.

HEALTH PAPERS/RESTRICTIONS North Carolina import laws will apply. NC requires health papers for animals being brought from out of state for sale or exhibition. Please check with your veterinarian for the exact requirements. Exhibitors from NC are not required to have health papers to show in-state. Please do not bring sick animals to the show. SPONSORSHIPS We welcome any sponsorship of the classes in the show. You may sponsor any number of classes for $5.00 each. You may wish to dedicate your sponsorship to a favorite goat, a special goat mentor, etc. You get a free business card ad in the showbook with each class sponsored. NCPGC CLUB MEMBERSHIP If you would like to join the NC Pygmy Goat Club, please enclose $15.00 for first time members or $25.00 for returning members. You can indicate on your entry form that you are joining or re-joining NCPGC. MEALS We will have grilled chicken sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, dessert, and iced tea or lemonade. Please feel free to bring a side or dessert. Lunch is $7.00 per person. LODGING The Country Hearth Inn, Siler City, NC (919) 663-2511 and America s Best Value Inn, Siler City, NC (919) 663-1818. Also try hotels in Burlington, NC. Camping out is fine, too. Bring a drop cord, there are no hookups. You can throw an air mattress down in one of the bedrooms of the house that is onsite. There are showers/bathrooms in the house, just no furniture. There are bathrooms/showers near the building where the show is. DIRECTIONS FROM I-85/US-70 Take I-85 S/US-70 W to NC-49 S/Maple Ave in Burlington, exit 145 (31.9 mi). Turn left if coming from the east, or right if coming from the west onto NC-49 S/Maple Ave. Continue to follow NC-49 S (17.9 mi). Turn left onto S Fayetteville St (0.2 mi). Take the 2nd left onto S Greensboro St (0.9 mi). Continue onto Old US Hwy 421 (0.8 mi). Turn left onto Overman Rd. (0.3 mi) to 7377 Overman Rd.
