CPLA CONGRESSES: One of the most important activities has been the organization and accomplishment of the CPLA Congresses, in fulfillment to the FILA Statutes, whose resolutions have been registered in respective acts. 3.1. CPLA TECHNICAL SEMINARIES: Two technical seminaries were realized focused to Leaders and Coaches, which took place in: 5.1. Guatemala, City, 2005: 45 people of 13 countries participated. 5.2. Colón, Panama, 2007: 18 people of 11 countries participated. 6. COURSES FOR COACHES SPONSORED BY PASO: The program of Pan-American Olympic Solidarity was coordinated with the PASO, having realized 2 continental courses: 6.1. Havana, Cuba, 2005: 15 representatives of 13 countries. 6.2. Guatemala, City, 2006: 25 representatives of 16 countries participated. In 2007 and 2008 PASO decided not to organize courses for coaches; nevertheless, we were informed in the last General Assembly that, as of year 2009, will be realized these activities again. 7. FILA CLINICS FOR JUDGES-REFEREES: During the pasts 4 years diverse clinics for Judge-Referee were realized in the American Continent. To the date, the information is the following one: Page 4

NEW COUNTRIES AFFILIATES: In the course of the last years, new National Federations of the American Continent were affiliated with FILA, being the following ones: 9.1. Bahamas 9.2. Barbados 9.3. Haití 9.4. Cayman Island 9.5. San Vicente & Granadinas The previous thing, means a growth of 20% in relation to the amount of countries affiliates. 10. DISTRIBUTION OF THE FILA INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS, version 2006. This document was translated to spanish and given to all the affiliates for free. 11. HEADQUARTERS OF CPLA: From year 2003, CPLA counts with own headquarters, which has all the facilities, such as: Secretary, telephone, fax, Internet, photocopier, etc. 12. CENTER OF DEVELOPMENT FOR PAN-AMERICAN OLYMPIC WRESTLING: It is a project created for promote the development of our sport through the permanent organization of courses, clinics and training bases, in a joint effort between FILA/CPLA, National Federations and the host country (Guatemala). 13. PARTICIPATION IN SENIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Page 6

Thanks to the FILA program of technical attendance, it was possible that wrestlers of 9 countries of Latin America attended free of charge to the World Championship realized in the City of Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2007. CPLA WEB PAGE: In 2007 the CPLA web page was created, which has been an effective way of communication and diffusion of all the information of interest for the National Federations of the American Continent and the world. This page has been activated in english and spanish and in little more of a year, the page has had near 3.000 visits. http://www.cplawrestling.org When entering the page, the visitors can know; among others things, on: Our headquarters, Member of the Executive Committee, Pan-American Directory, Statutes and Regulations, Calendars, Results, News, Scientist-technical articles, The Hall of fame, Etc. 15. JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2006: After 15 years, a Junior World Wrestling Championship was organized again in the American Continent in 2006, which had as host the City of Guatemala. Thanks to this initiative, athletes of different National Federations of America; so the case of Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia and Guatemala had the possibility of being located in the podium of winners. 16. With great success they were realized from the July 24 th to the 28 th of 2007, in the City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil the XV the Pan-American Sport Games, whose technical coordination was in charge of the Brazil National Wrestling Federation. 146 athletes of 17 countries participated. Greco-Roman Style: 53 competitors Feminine Wrestling: 34 competitors Male Wrestling: 59 competitors 17. PARTICIPATION ON XXIX OLYMPIC GAMES: In the past Olympic Games realized in Beijin, China, participated a total of 344 athletes in the 3 wrestling styles, of which 48 were of our continent; that is to say, 14% of the 27 National Federations of America affiliates to FILA, 9 athletes classify; what represents 33% of the members of CPLA, being these: Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, the United States, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. No one obtained a Will Card. Canada: James Mitchell and Lee Ronald Mckay 2. Colombia: Gustavo Vélez 3. Cuba: Orestes Molina 4. United States: Rick Tucci and Tom Clark 18. RESULTS IN THE XXIX OLYMPIC GAMES: The wrestlers of the American Continent had an excellent performance in the past Olympic Games realized in Beijin, China, obtaining a total of 7 medals: 3 of gold and 4 of bronze. Our more outstanding wrestlers were the following: GRECO-ROMAN WRESTLING: Mijail López Nuñez (Cuba) 120 kgs. Gold Medal FEMININE WRESTLING: Carol Huynh (Canada) 48 Kgs. Gold Medal FREESTYLE WRESTLING: Henry Cejudo (USA) 55 Kgs. Gold Medal Also the ones who obtained BRONZE medals: Page 9

Greco-Roman Wrestling: Adam Wheeler (USA) 96 Kgs Feminine Wrestling: Tonya Verbeek (CAN) 55 Kgs. Jackeline Renteria (COL) 55 Kgs and, Randi Miller (USA) 63 Kgs. 19. FINANCIAL REPORT: As it is known, CPLA counts basically on three sources of financing: FILA Annual allocation Annual quotas of the National Federations affiliates Allocation of PASO (Pan-American Games) The money of CPLA are handled through Wachovia Bank, NA with host in 2470 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples FL. 34109, USA. ACCOUNT # 2000015647236 Routing # 067006432 The financial information has been presented opportunely to FILA and the General Assembly by the CPLA Treasurer, Mr. Mario Saletnig, having approved unanimously. 20. INAUGURATION OF THE NEW FILA HEADQUARTERS: June 15 th 2007 will be a memorable date for our sport. Thanks to the initiative of President Raphäel Martinetti, it was inaugurated the new FILA headquarters, located in the beautiful locality of Corsiersur-Vevey, Switzerland. To this event attended the CPLA President and several leaders of diverse National Federations of America. 21. SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT: November 28 th of 2008, in the City of Guadalajara, Mexico, I obtained an agreement of sponsorship with the Engineer Jose Luis Rocha Davila, General Chief of the company sololucha, which has the representation in Mexico of all type of official instruments for our sport, of prestigious marks ADIDAS and BRUTE. The sponsorship consists of the following thing: 1. Program of introduction for national selections: All the National Federations of Latin America that, through CPLA, make orders of singles during the dates included of 1st of December 2008 to the 31th of March 2009, will receive one free single by which they buy (of the same mark and model that they acquired, in the color and stature that they ask for). Also, 10% of discount in each pair of wrestling shoes that they acquire during the indicated dates. 2. Sponsorship for Junior and Cadets Continental Champions: All the wrestlers of Latin America, who will win gold medal in these events during year 2009, will receive free a pair of wrestling shoes. 3. Future programs: In dependency of the activities and results, the company sololucha will extend the program of sponsorship with CPLA. It is possible to mention that this is the first occasion in which CPLA manages to establish a concrete program of sponsorship that, without doubt, is from great benefit for our National Federations.
