2 LOCAL NEWS AREA 2017-2018 Re-enrollment is Now Open! Log in to your 4HOnline Family account to submit enrollment for each member of your family - participating Youth and Adults (*Adults only if a volunteer). Go to http://mi.4honline.com and select "I have a profile" and enter the email and password you created last year. If you ve forgotten your password, select I forgot my password and follow the instructions. Once at your family homepage, work through each member's page to complete/update personal information, authorizations and project information. PLEASE MAKE SURE CLUB AND PROJECT INFORMATION IS UP TO DATE! Pay special attention to your "Years in 4-H" and be sure to add each project a member is/has been involved in. There is no option to pay online. The participation annual fee for $20 per individual/ $60 per family will still be collected by club leaders. Reenrollment deadline is December 31, 2017. If needed, scholarships are available. Please contact the 4-H Office for details. Community Leaders: You must reenroll in order to have access to your club s information. Once approved by County staff, your access will be restored. Are you interested in developing leadership and advocacy skills? Do you have ideas about how to improve the quality of life for youth in Ingham County? If so, consider joining the Ingham County Youth Commission (ICYC). ICYC serves as a youth advisory board to the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and makes sure that youth from the community have a voice in government policies relating to youth issues. This is done by educating people in the community about important issues and implementing projects that benefit people throughout the community. State Dog Show Results 7 4-H Equine Welfare Assessment Guide Equine welfare science is an emerging discipline. The guide will help youth learn equine welfare principles as well as how to better care for their horses. It is designed to assist horse leaders in providing a way to teach and improve important skills for life such as clear oral communication, information gathering, analytical thinking and observation. There are also sample scenarios as a supplement to the welfare assessment. The State 4-H Dog Show is held each August on the MSU campus. This show offers agility, showmanship, obedience and service dog classes. Cloverleaf Days at Williamston TSC The Tractor Supply 4-H Paper Clover fundraiser is coming up again and we are looking for our 4-H clubs to help out in promoting our program at the TSC store in Williamston. From the fundraiser this past spring, Ingham County 4-H received $458 that can be used to help pay for leadership opportunities for our youth. Let us make this another successful campaign!
