Aug. 20-27th 7 members of the Headwaters Chapter fished the Muskies First Outing out of Spring Bay Resort on Lake Vermilion in Cook, Minn. 54 fishermen fished the outing. We had a tough week, we did not catch a single musky. Did see some nice ones but nothing in the boat. Did catch Northern and Bass. Musky Pete caught the biggest Northern of the week, 42, and won a musky rod. I think a total of 12 muskies were caught with a 49.5 fish being the biggest for the week. Total cost was $375/person which included the meals and lodging. 3 days they had dock side demos and gave away baits and 3 one half day guide trips. We had a great cabin right next to the lake with our own docks. We have the same cabin reserved for next year so will have to see if we can fill it up.
