September 10 17, 2016 is National Assisted Living Week. This annual observance recognizes Assisted Living Communities, as we celebrate your Loved Ones. The 2017 Theme this year is Family is Forever. Although individual musical tastes vary, the profound impact of music in our lives is undeniable. This is especially true for individuals with Alzheimer s disease and related dementias. As part of our holistic approach to wellness, we offer a variety of music therapy programs encouraging socialization and emotional connection. Music Therapy Please join Spring Hills and our Forever Family for the festivities this month! On September 10, bring your grandchildren for an Arts and Crafts Project from am pm. We will be creating memories with love to share The crafts they create will be gifted to their grand parents. On September 11th we will be having an Antique Car Show from pm-pm! The New Jersey Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will present automotive history and technologies, through the display of a variety of antique automotive brands, for the enjoyment and benefit of Spring Hills. They will bring approx. ten antique automobiles for our viewing pleasure. Please come and help judge your favorite car! Refreshments will be served!! September is historically when we celebrate Labor Day. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. We would love for our families and friends to join us celebrating Labor Day with a BBQ at 1pm.. We also partner with Music Therapists who lead programs such as bell choirs, drum circles, intergenerational sing-alongs and live performances. We welcome families to join us for interactive musical fun with their loved ones, and experience the transformational effect music has on the mind, body and spirit. She was born on April 4th, 1944 at 5:44 a.m. She was born in New Bedford Massachusetts. Her parents Dorothy and Paul J Finni were also born and met in New Bedford Massachusetts. They met in a bakery where they worked. Paul was the baker and Dorothy waited on the customers. Deitra was the only child, and she enjoyed keeping busy. She was a rainbow, which a community service group she was a part of in the temple that she grew up going to. The group would help the needs of the people who lived in the community. Deitra Finni Deitra went to New Bedford High school, where she had many friends. For fun Deitra enjoyed roller skating and ice-skating. Deitra says right after high school she decided to start her own business, which she did. She sold fine china, glassware, and sterling silver. Deitra has one son named Robert. She says he helped her find Spring Hills. She loves Spring Hills very much and she enjoys the inviting atmosphere, and she loves the fact that the care partners have a relationship with each individual resident.
