Holcim Memberships in CSR/SD-related organizations (Status May, 2011) Memberships at Group level Organization * Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) Group Company / Country Holcim is a member of the Centre for European Policy Studies, which is a Brussels-based think-tank. CEPS serves as a leading forum for debate on EU affairs, but its most distinguishing feature lies in its strong in-house research capacity, complemented by an extensive network of partner institutes throughout the world. European Cement Research Academy (ECRA) Holcim is a member of ECRA and their technical advisory board supporting among others a research on the options and potentials of Carbon Capture Technology for the Cement Industry. European Partners for the Environment (EPE) Holcim is a member of the European Partners for the Environment. The EPE brings together a wide range of players applying the concept of Leadership Through Partnership to advance system change towards resource efficiency & sustainable development. Global Legislators Organization for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE) GLOBE is a worldwide organization with the purpose to enhance international cooperation between parliamentarians on global environmental issues. GLOBE represents sitting legislators in more than 100 national parliaments and the European Parliament. Holcim is one of three companies participating in GLOBE EU. Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) As GRI is an universally recognized framework for sustainability reporting, Holcim has joined GRI as an organizational Stakeholder and is a member of the GRI Stakeholder Council. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Emerging Markets Network (OECD EmNet) Holcim is part of the OECD Emerging Markets Network to discuss emerging markets issues.
