St. Mary School Plaid Ties Uniform Update We are extending the deadline for tie orders. We are also getting a variety of different headbands and hair ties for the girls to sell right here at school. It has come to our attention that there are some concerns that the new uniform policy will cause undue financial hardship, which is the last thing we want to do. Please know that we will be moving forward gradually and in a thoughtful way. For now, all we need to see is one plaid item on Fridays for mass, sweaters that come to the waist, belts, skirts that are fingertip length or longer, and socks that are white, navy, black, and tan. That will take us to the end of the school year. In the spring, we will have an open forum to clarify what steps we ll take next year, but be sure that we will not impose any financial hardships as we grow. Thank you so much for all your support! If you would like to order a St. Mary School Plaid tie we will be sending an order to Schoolbelles. Please fill out the order form and include a check made payable to St. Mary School. All orders must received by Tuesday, December 21 st. Please indicate on the envelope Tie Order. Thank you. Spring TRACK & FIELD St. Mary s and the SMAA are pleased to announce that we are investigating the feasibility of initiating a Track & Field team that will participate in the Diocese. This announcement is to gauge interest in the participation of this new program: This is an introduction to Track & Field. The sport runs from March to mid-may. We understand parents will have dual athletes and we will try our best not to interfere with the soccer season. We anticipate that most of the practices will be held at St. Mary s; however, at least once per week the team will travel to a local track. There are approximately 3-4 events in the year with a championship. There are approximately 16 Catholic Grade Schools that participate. The following events will be available for novice (3 rd /4th graders), JV (5 th /6 th ), & Varsity (7 th /8 th ): Sprints Middle Distance Long Distance (3200 Meter) Relays Long Jump Shotput Javelin Would you be interested in participating?
