The Junior and Senior shows ARE separately sanctioned. ADGA rules shall govern. SPECIAL RULES Entries are restricted to Purebred Registered Does. Purebred and American Purebred to compete in the same classes. All Dairy Goats exhibited must be registered with a recognized registering association. All open class registration papers must be checked with the show secretary by 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 22. (No Stamped Duplicates) No signed transfers unless entry is in the original owner's name. Premiums will not be paid unless registration number of breeding animals is furnished prior to show. Animal Health Dairy goats presented for exhibition must show no evidence of contagious lymphadenitis (superficial abscesses), contagious ecthyma (sore mouth) or foot rot. These goats are not to be unloaded and cannot be shown. The exhibition officials and the approved veterinarian have the right to bar any animal from being unloaded, penned in the barns, or shown. They may order the removal of any animal. These decisions are final. Male (buck) goats are barred from the fairgrounds. All goats must be dehorned.

MILK OUT There will not be a milk out for Senior Does (Milkers). However the judge will take into consideration when placing animals if he feels an animal is overbagged. Group entries shall be made upon arrival at the Fair. All goats exhibited in the group classes must have been exhibited in the individual classes of that breed. Get of Sire shall consist of three does in milk, any age, out of the same sire. Produce of Dam shall consist of two does, the produce of one dam. Produce need not be owned by the exhibitor. Entries in this class shall be made in the name of the dam. Breeder s Trio shall consist of three does bred and owned by the exhibitor. Each doe entered in this class shall show on her registration paper the same name listed as breeder, owner and be the same as listed on entry blank. GOAT JUDGING IMPORTANT RULES Exhibitor must wear plain white clothes in the show ring (no exceptions). No pattern clothes with white background will be permitted. Herd names and logos may be worn. No shorts or open toe shoes. All chores must be completed by 9:00 a.m. If an exhibitor leaves the show ring before being excused by the judge it may result in forfeiture of all premiums. Exhibitors may enter, show and receive money on three (3) animals per class. (Exception Best Udder Class) All dairy goats must be entered and shown under the name that appears on each individual dairy goat's registration paper. Each Milking Class of the Show will have a First and Second Best Udder Award presented. These two animals will receive a Best Udder Rosette and will be the only animals permitted to show in the Best Udder Class for each breed. Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Junior Doe and a Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Senior Doe will be selected in each breed. Following the completion of the Senior Doe Show a Grand Champion of the show will be selected which will be the winner of the Junior Doe and Senior Doe Shows. Reserve Grand Champion of the show will be the Grand of the Division which did not win in the previous class and the Reserve in the Division that produced the Grand Champion. Group classes will combine entries from the Junior Doe and Senior Doe shows and will not be part of the ADGA official show. Any doe that has ever freshened or that is being milked regularly shall compete in the Senior Doe Division. This includes dry and precocious Herd signs of a reasonable size may be placed throughout the show. If you want to enter both Junior and Open, then two blanks are needed. Complete animal information as required, animal count information as requested on the entry blank. You may enter online at www.ohiostatefair.com Entry due date is June 20, this means the entry blank, and payment, must be postmarked by June 20. We do not accept metered mail. Please make checks payable to the Ohio State Fair and mail to Ohio State Fair, Entry Department, 717 East 17th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211. You may use your credit card to pay for your entry fees or enter online at www.ohiostatefair.com LATE ENTRY Any entries made June 21 through July 8 will be charged $50 late fee, plus animal charge. Any entry made July 9 and after will be charged $75 late fee, plus animal charge. If entering both Junior and Open, then you will be charged the late fee for both, plus animal charge. Ticket Information No tickets will be required for dairy goat exhibitors, since the show is before the official opening of the Ohio State Fair. You will be charged a $5 parking fee each time you enter onto the fairgrounds. If you wish to purchase admission tickets for the Ohio State Fair, you may do so from the Entry Office at the following cost: $28 6-day (this ticket may be used by more than one person at the gate) $ 6 1-day (one person admission) Premium money (amount listed after the class information) is processed and mailed at the conclusion of the fair.
