Torch Relay Celebration The Torch Relay ignites pride and enthusiasm in local communities A 41-Day Journey 20,000+ km More than 130 communities Starts in Canada on May 30, 2015 and will make its final stop on July 10, 2015 at the Opening Ceremonies The Torch will arrive in Hamilton on June 21 st, 2015 Hamilton will have approximately 75 community torchbearers

Hamilton Kicks It Up! Events Signature Events include: It s Your Festival (Gage Park), Pan Promenade at Celebration Square (Gore Park), World Music Festival, and Hamilton Waterfront Pan Am Cultural Showcase. (Pier 4) Satellite Events include: International House (Ferguson Station), International Food Court/Food Central (Ottawa St.), and Pop-up Shop Visual Arts. (Barton St.)
Celebrations Include: International Foods featuring the Americas Multicultural Entertainment stages showcasing local entertainment Art Explosion- Design of Soccer Balls An international House with viewing station and entertainment A Viva Pan Am Junior Soccer Celebrations for youth A Pop-up Shop featuring local artist- Art displayed in vacant shop window. Hamilton Kicks It Up! Volunteers When: July 10 th - 26 th, 2015 Where: Throughout Hamilton Time: Different shift times ranging from the morning till late at night Shifts: Have the option to sign up for several shifts throughout the Games Potential Volunteer Positions: Event Assistants, Event Ambassadors, Event Operations Team, Street Team, Administration, and Parking Attendants
July 10 th 26 th. Potential Volunteer Positions Hamilton Kicks It Up! Event Assistants - assist attendees, facilitate with directions, assist in audience management, seating, and/or crowd movement. Event Ambassadors - provide good-will, local information and outreach to event attendees. Event Operations Team - Set-up and tear down crews for event, act as runners to support event operations. Some may be required as drivers for delivery of equipment, staff, and volunteers to event sites. Street Team - act as runners, on site customer service and problem solving, waste management, sustainability initiatives, accessible service provision, and more. Administration - responsible for reception duties, answering phones, answering questions, coordinating Volunteer schedules, and providing other general support in administration of the Host Committee Event Office during the games period. Parking Attendants - responsible for arrivals and departures of all vehicles from the Hamilton supported parking lots throughout each of the 16 days of competition. Most days are two games ie: parking minimum 2 hours prior to game and 1 hour post game. Weekends may have additional requirements. This position would be most appropriate for groups of people wanting to volunteer. Create the Hamilton Experience
Volunteer Requirements You must be able to speak conversational English or have a basic knowledge of English. We will need volunteers who speak other languages including French, Spanish, and Portuguese You must be 16 years or older as of January 1, 2015 You must have time to volunteer. Weekdays Weekends Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, or Late Night
