APPLICATION: INSTALLATION SUMMARY: Newly placed cncrete: Cncrete jint interface must be dry and clean (free f dirt, catings, rust, grease il, and ther cntaminants), sund and durable. New cncrete must be cured (min. f 14 days). Aged Cncrete: Blckut shuld be f sund cncrete. Lse, cntaminated, weak, spalled, deterirated and/r delaminated cncrete must be remved t sund cncrete and repaired prir t placement. Any spalling, vids, r structural cracking at the jint interface must be repaired. Any patching materials must be apprved by manufacturer prir t use. elastmeric cncrete Cncrete substrates must be abrasive blasted t remve all latencies and cntaminants which may cause bnding prblems. WabBnding agent prevents any inherent misture frm interfacing with. Maximum misture cntent allwed fr installatin is 5%. Apply WabBnding Agent (primer) t surface f the prperly prepared cncrete prir t the installatin f. D NOT use WabBnding Agent n steel substrates. There must be n visible misture prir t the applicatin f the primer. Primer can be brush applied. D NOT allw the primer t cure prir t placement f. Thrughly pre-mix (20 secnds) Part B separately befre puring entire cntents f Part B int a clean 5 galln cntainer. Add Part A and mix bth cmpnents fr 30 secnds r until well blended. Slwly add the aggregate cmpnent t the mixed liquids and mix until all aggregate is cated (apprximately I minute). This mix can be pured int prperly prepared blckut, in which the primer is still wet. The material will flw and self level. Fr steep slped cnditins add WabNn Flw Additive during the liquid aggregate mixing prcess. The final blend f elastmeric cncrete is pured ut f the mixing bucket and int the blckut area. is an ambient cure material. Cure times are therefre, temperature dependant. INSTALLATION SUMMARY: IV series jint prfile (WabInverSeal) Unrll the seal and let it relax. Measure and cut t length needed fr the cntinuus jint, being careful nt t pull and stretch the seal. Mix Part A with Part B f the WabPaste Adhesive. Mix fr apprximately 3 minutes r until there is n marbling. Apply WabPaste Adhesive t the elastmeric cncrete jint interfaces f the jint gap pening. Use a clean white cttn rag saked with WabCnditining Agent t wipe the seal immediately prir t the applicatin f epxy t the seal. Apply WabPaste Adhesive evenly n bth sides f the jints rib area nly. Psitin the seal upright n tp f the jint pening. Use a blunt ruded t t frce the seal dwn int the pening, t the desired recessed depth.
Clean all excess WabPaste Adhesive frm the edges f the jint and frm the tp f the seal. FOR BEST RESULTS: Install when cncrete substrate is clean, sund, dry, and cured (14 day minimum). EV series jint prfile (WabEvazte UV) Measure and cut t exact length needed fr cntinuse jint, being careful nt t pull r stretch the seal. Measure the jint pening width. The nminal width f the seal shuld be 25% larger than the pening at mid temperature range but never less than 16% versized r greater than 38% versized. Pre-mix WabBnder cmpnents A and B separately. Fr smaller batches mix 3 parts f cmpnent A with 1 part f cmpnent B in a clean plastic pail. Mix fr apprximately 3 minutes r until there is n marbling. Apply mixed WabBnder by brush, trwel, caulking gun, r by hand with rubber glves. Apply apprximately 40 mils f WabBnder n each side f the seal and n the cncrete substrate. Apply enugh WabBnder t fill the grves n each side f the seal. The seal shall be installed ¼ belw the finished surface and shuld never prtrude abve the jint edge. Clean all excess epxy frm the edges f the jint pening and frm the tp f the seal as sn as it is pushed int the desired depth. D NOT allw the epxy t cure befre remving it. Allw the WabBnder t set apprximately 20 minutes (@77F) befre traffic is allwed nt the jint. Lnger cure times are required during cler temperatures. D nt install if the jint s anticipated mvement will exceed the seal s mvement range. Prtect the wrk area with apprpriate plastic sheeting. It is always a gd idea t utilize plastic sheeting n the underside f the jint pening t prtect frm bjects, dripping liquids, r ther materials frm falling thrugh the pening t lwer levels. D nt allw any f the cmpnents t freeze prir t installatin. Stre all cmpnents ut f direct sunlight in a clean, dry lcatin between 50 F (10 C) and 90 F (32 C). WabEvazte Bnder has a shelf life f 2 years. All ther chemical cmpnents have a shelf life f 1 year. Peridically inspect the applied material and repair lcalized areas as needed.
